This is a new, clean, modern, non-smoking hotel adjacent to the Cruise Passenger Terminal. It is not downtown but it is close to it. There were many nice free touches in the room including a fridge, safe, wine glasses, tea/coffee and a bottle of water. We enjoyed the "menu" of different pillow types, view of the river, free internet in the business centre and apples or water when checking in. The hotel was relatively quiet as compared to hotels closer to the city centre. We did however hear faint rumblings from the numerous trains across the street. The highlight of our stay was the super friendly and helpful concierge service - at all times a concierge was both visible and available. For us, they reserved and operated the half hourly shuttle to Centraal Station, provided luggage storage and advised on travel times to the airport. They were always happy and spoke perfect English. Do not be put off by the distance from Centraal Station. It is either a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk along the river, a free hotel shuttle ride away or a 3 minute tram ride. It is not difficult at all to take the train from Schipol airport and get to the hotel with luggage.

Got a great rate on name your own price from Priceline, I love this hotel and have stayed here a few times now. The rooms are great and the views are amazing. Although a little away from everything, in my book its a bonus and the hotel's about 10 mins walk to Central Station.

One let down are the staff, can often be rude and abrupt at check in and for a 3 night stay my room cardkey failed each day - I was told this was because it was near my phone (stayed here 3 times before and never happened) then it was because of my bank cards and various other excuses but not one apology... thats all it would have taken.

This is a wonderful hotel and I would recommand everyone to stay there. Good location, great staff, great room and everything is great there. Just one tram station away from the Central Station. The view to the river and the city center is GREAT! I can't ask for more from this hotel.

My husband and I spent five fantastic nights at the Moevenpick. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and quite comfortable. The room had all the amenities and overlooked the water. We even watched the sun set from our hotel window! The king bed was very comfortable, as were the down pillows and covers. I loved the location. We were able to walk (ten minutes) to/from Centraal Station as well as walk into the city. It was nice leaving the city noise behind at night. We also ate at the restaurant (twice for breakfast and once for dinner) and the food was delicious. Staff was very helpful and courteous. I loved that there were free computers for the guests in the lobby, too. I'd definitely stay there again.
