we were kicked out from the owner after the first night cause we smoked outsight THE OPEN WINDOW!!!

she told us that the house is made of wood (but in two rooms they heat with gas-heathers!!!). and kicked us out after she saw two guys smoking at the opened window!!!

we booked 3 nights at the jordaan, after the first night we had to search and also to pay for a second hotel!

Yes, we asked this boys-group to leave after smoking inside and that was not a surprise for them. Because when they arrived they had red and we had talked about our house-rules saying exactly that smoking inside is not allowed and that any guest who would brake that rule would be asked to leave. Also on our website it is clear that smoking, pets or drugs inside are not allowed.

So, when smoke penetrated our private rooms (!) we went to find the cause of it and there they were smoking collectively inside using our cups for ash-trays. The worst thing was that we all knew that they did it on purpose. That didn’t left any room to debate and we asked them to leave.

We had a positive welcome by Charlotte, who was very kind and helpful with advice about where to park and where to eat.

The place is very cosy and close to the centre of Amsterdam. The street is very quiet and kind.

We had a nice holiday there. Thank you very much, Charlotte.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B Jordaan. It is located on a quiet street that is easily acccesible from the train station by a short bus ride or an interesting walk.

Our room was large, very comfortable, bright and airy, very quiet and private. We enjoyed the large Dutch breakfasts that Charlotte served to our room at our requested time. We sat at the table by the window and watched swans swim by on the canal at the end of the street as we ate.

The B& B is located close to many attractions that are within walking distance - for example Ann Frank House. The Jordaan area is very interesting to walk in with many small atiliers, shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate in the area each evening as there was so much choice.

Charlotte is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area and Amsterdam itself. We appreciated her recommendations for places to eat and activities. She is a gracious host and always had time to chat with us, providing us information and answering the variety of questions we had.

We would happily stay at B & B Jordaan again and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Amsterdam.

I probably can't say enough about this B&B. Charlotte couldn't have been a more gracious hostess, helping us first with the parking meters (since we don't read Dutch), carrying my suitcase up the stairs, making fabulous restaurant recommendations (we went to all of them!)... I can go on and on. The B&B was perfectly located in the charming Jordaan neighborhood, an easy walk to all areas of interest. Nights were quiet and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfasts were good and were served in our rooms at a time we chose. Charlotte offered us guidebooks as well as advice on any questions we had. My husband asked about a specific type of hobby store, which Charlotte researched and got back to us with suggestions. I heartily recommend this B&B!

My brother-in-law lives in Amsterdam and he recommended this lovely accommodation for us.

And he was right!

Everything was arranged for the maximum comfort on the whole floor; shower room and the loo are separated from the spacious bedroom.

The additional feature is this Jordaan area which is famous for the many cafés, restaurants and shops with a kind of artistic & cultural twist and they are all in the walking distance.

Our favourite café restaurant, De Vrlje Vork is just round the corner on Egelantiersdw Str.

Tram stops, bus stops and Opstappea (the cute white mini-bus you flag it down by waving your arms at the driver vigorously) route are all nearby so it is very convenient to visit any museums, cinemas, internet cafés or whatsoever you fancy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful city, utterly intrigued by its history and culture, meeting a lot of friendly people plus cats, owing to this efficiently managed and lovely B&B.

It's great to know where to stay next time!

As someone who knows Amsterdam well, I was keen to find a place in the Jordaan (the most peaceful and interesting part of Amsterdam). The B&B Jordaan scores highly on 4 significant criteria:
1) It's in the right place
2) Its clean, comfortable and well appointed.
3) It's quiet
4) It's probably the best value for money in Amsterdam.

Charlotte has run this place for a while now and seems to have an instinct for what the guests need. The decor is simple but comfortable and there doesn't seem anything that's too much trouble for her.

The beds are a delight and there aren't any drunks or kids on motorbikes to keep you awake. Breakfast comes when you want it to, and there's more than enough tea/cofee etc. A good shower and WC too.
The B&B Jordaan is an excellent spotr for exploring one of the most interesting cities in the world - the centre of town is a 10 minute walk away and you can get a connecting tram to all areas within a five minute walk. You are handy for the markets, the churches and the brown cafes that make the Jordaan the best kept secret in Holland.
If you are lucky enough to get a reservation I feel sure that you will love it and - like me, want to return.

Mum and I spent a lovely time in The B&B Jordaan.

The house is a typical house of Amsterdam. We really enjoyed the quiteness of the bedroom and the the warm hitting. Weather was cold and we really appreciate to relax in this warm place!

Charlotte is a lovely person very very very helpefull even if I was a bit slow in understanding. She is nice and understanding!

Everything is here to help you during your stay in the town: maps, museum descriptions, best restaurants,....

B&B Jordaan has made our trip easier.

We definetly come back there when we will return in this splendid Amsterdam!
