Stayed for one night and was very impressed with the hotel. Although the room was basic it had all the facilities needed and was very clean. The staff were all very helpful and the semolina desert at dinner was worth the trip on it's own.
Breakfast was a lot better than i have had in other Amsterdam hotels, would highly recomend it. Only small downside was I stayed on the fifth floor and the water tanks seemed to be above the room and were a little noisy.
Although the hotel accepts Mastercard I was suprprised that the central train station doesn't which left me short of cash.

stayed at the Bellevue for 3 nights and i have to say i loved everything about it,staff were so helpfull,rooms clean and they were beautiful, ok the rooms were small but who goes to amsterdam to sit in there room.it was in a great location just across the road fron the train station ,loads of shops and places to eat close by and about a 15min walk to the red light. i would recomend this hotel and i will be staying here again.

We stayed at the Bellevue in March 07, Mon - Thurs. On arrival in Amsterdam we were greeted by snow and so pleased to see that the hotel was literally a 5 minute walk from Central Train Station. We arrived at 10am and so were too early to check in however the staff were very helpful and suggested we leave our luggage in the luggage room and register our details to making checking in easier later on.

The rooms were very modern with a flat screen tv and cable (useful as it snowed and hailed most of the time we were there so it was nice to be able to go back to the room to warm up and be able to watch a film!!). We had a wet room, with a very powerful shower which was great. The room was clean and the maid service was excellent. We were at the back of the hotel so had no problems with road noise. The only complaint my partner had was that there were no tea or coffee making facilites in the room, but considering the number of cafes surrounding the hotel it wasnt too much of a probem. I agree with some of the other reviews that the room was quite small - but it was not an issue for us and i certainly don't think it should deter anyone from picking this hotel.

We didnt have breakfast in the hotel, as we preferred to pick something up when we were out and about, but we did have a meal in the restaurant at night. It was very small and intimate, with a limited menu, however the food was lovely, and not too unreasonably priced, especially as there was a 20% discount voucher with the room. The staff were very attentive and helpful too (and the dessert was very very nice!).

I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if I return to Amsterdam. For the money the location couldn't have been better, approx a 5-10 min walk to dam square, red light district etc. Also the lift and therefore access to the rooms can only be called using your room key, an excellent feature, as there are some strange people in Amsterdam!

My wife and i stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in February and were very pleased. We arrived early so the room was not available straight away but after an hour or so of wandering around town it was ready which was still earlier than normal.

Our room on the top floor was very clean. It was quite small compared to some hotels but this wasnt really a problem as we didnt plan to spend much time in the room, perhaps someone on a longer stay may prefer a larger room.

Breakfast was the usual continental buffet, there wasnt a massive range but enough. the breakfast room does fill up quite quick so get there early. We felt this created an 'eat up and leave' atmosphere. I also got the feeling the staff wanted you in and out quickly. We just used it to get a quick fill up before going out each morning.

The hotel is a great location, especially if you arrive by train, the hotel is right nearby. In terms of getting around town the hotel is great for this as well, its a very central spot for everything. you may want a map though to find the sights you want to get to.

Overall id reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay for a few nights either for tourism or business (free WiFi in room). The overall value for money was good we thought. If you plan on being in your room a lot or like to have a longer breakfast you may want to look elsewhere.
