We had a great to Amsterdam. The biggest part of which was the stay on The prinsenboat. We litterly came alife again on the houseboat. Right in the centre of everything, though full of peace and harmony. Great interior.

Coming from England my wife and I were looking for accomodation in the heart of Amsterdam. Set on an Amsterdam canal, Prinsenboat reconciled easy access to museums and nightlife with stylish decor and generous amenities.

Pete, the friendly owner welcomes guests with a fridge daily stocked for breakfast and great advice on the metropolois. He told us that much of the furniture was imported from Bali. making it highly romantic and a delight to return to after a days exploration. In the morning you look out onto the water to be welcomed by swans - great time had by all.

We were in Amsterdam over the long weekend and stayed 3 nights on a houseboat. This was a real Amsterdam experience and was totally worth it. The boat was centrally located on the Prinsengracht just moments for Rembrantplein and easily accessible by tram. The environment was totally comfortable; we had a stereo, TV, a full kitchen and living room along with a comfortable bed. The house sleeps 4 but only using the pull out sofa, so if you are looking for a romantic weekend I would consider that it sleeps only 2. The host provides breakfast food left in the frig and he made sure there was enough to last us our entire stay. It was fun to be able to cook our own breakfast and make a pot of coffee just like you lived there. We were on a tour boat channel so we often saw all the tourists driving by and it was cool to wave and see the envy in their eyes!
