My wife and I just returned from a Brussles/Amsterdam trip, and choose the Barangay in Amsterdam based upon reviews on this site. It is a top notch bed and breakfast. Upon arrival, the tropical boys, wimmo & godxxx will show you all the right places to visit. Great if you are a 1st timer. The breakfast in bed was delicious and more than we could eat. Just mad I could not enjoy it for the 2nd day because we had to leave too early to catch a flight. My only complaint was the bed was too soft, but that may be a huge bonus for others. They are located in a great location, which allowed us to walk most anywhere. WATCH out for the bikers :-)

Note: Remember, this is a bed and breakfast. Not a hotel. There is a different type of privacy to be expected from each. Know what to expect and you will not be disappointed with your stay at the Barangay!

P.S.S If you are going to be there a few days and want to do a lot of touristy things, we'd recommend the "I AM" Amsterdam card. Free entry to many museums, discounted restaurants, etc. Another recommendation from our hosts.

We flew to Amsterdam for a romantic weekend, no kids, feeling unwell having caught flu from our son (there is no escape). However we got a wonderful welcome at Barangay despite the fact we must have looked worse for wear. Breakfast in bed was a really big treat, situation ideal for stight seeing. We left feeling 100% better and really glad we went. Would absolutely recommend.

We stayed at Barangay for four nights in April and loved every minute. The recommendations and delicious food were only part of what made our stay so pleasant. Wimmo and Godwin were so welcoming and sincere that we really felt like part of their family. It may not be the most trendy place out there, but it certainly is the most inviting! We will definitely be back!

The kitties are on diets, so no feeding them leftovers.

I have stayed at Wimmos and Godwins many times over the years and would absolutely not consider anywhere else.Once you have stayed at Barangay and received the warm welcome from the boys it is like home from home.
The cleanliness is impecible,the rooms to die for and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Feast on the Wonderfull breakfast that is brought to your room at a time requested by yourself and come and go as you please.
It feels like a fabulous timeshare without the price tag if you go again and again,as you probably will!.
Go enjoy and go again,(you will!).
