My wife & i stayed on the 5th & 6th of April and this was one of the best decisions i have made in booking something from the internet.From the moment we arrived & were greeted & sat down for a cup of tea with Wimmo the service was outstanding.He went through the tourist map of places to visit & some to possibly miss.This was the kind of service you dont get in hotels.Then he took us to our room which was lovely & clean.We had no problems whatsoever & im sure if there were any these would have been resolved quickly.Unfortunately we couldnt stay there on our last night in Amsterdam & we ended up in an hotel that cost 30 euros more & didnt include breakfast,We will make sure on our next visit to Amsterdam that we get in the Barangay for all our stay before we even book our flights

We had a relaxing and comfortable stay in the newly-opened tropical room upstairs. Godwin and Wimmo did a great job of making us feel at home and were very friendly.
The upstairs rooms have a serve-yourself breakfast with a good variety of breads, cereals, eggs, yogurt, cheese, meat, drinks, etc. (and a special Dutch delicacy: chocolate sprinkles to put on your bread).
Our bed was incredibly comfortable, and even the single bed for our daughter wasn't bad like some foldaway beds can be. We didn't realize that we'd be sharing a bathroom, but that wasn't a problem as it was very clean and the other room's people were very courteous. Everything was quite clean and the rooms were nicely decorated. While our room was non-smoking, the occupant of an aprtment downstairs smokes, and that was a little annoying when passing by but not much of a problem otherwise.
Godwin and Wimmo directed us to some great restaurants including Seasons, which has fabulous food, try the chocolate cake!

Last minute search on web for somewhere for myself and partner to say for two nights in Amsterdam - fell upon Barangay B&B and took the plunge! bit of a gamble - but it certainly paid off! as soon as we arrived - 4 min walk from central station! we were sat down and offered a drink - given maps and told where to go - best bars, clubs, shops, restaurants etc - really helpful service. Clean, safe and friendly - yes this is a B&B so no pool or conciege - but what you do get is a real feel for Amsterdam - I stay at loads of 5 * hotels with work - but would book into Barangay at any time! as Arnie says "I'll be back" Its the sort of place you should stay if you are straight, gay, young or old !

We stayed at Barangag for two nights 4th and 5th of April. Arrived at 11.30pm and met by Wimmo who offered us a tea coffee or glass of wine etc etc. The room was really nice with its own bathroom including a very big deep bath. Breakfast was the nicest ever. I am registered disabled so walking for me is very hard. Barangay is in the best location. Only about 200 meters from central station. Wimmo and Godwin do so much for you that you begin to feel very spoilt. They even organised a wheelchair for me. Which i appreciate more than i think they relised? We have never been to Amsterdam before and went to all the best places. ALL RECOMENDED BY GODWIN & WIMMO. The only thing wrong with Barangay was that we were only in Holland for two nights. Cant wait to go back and stay for longer next time. Justin & Julie x
