Hello guys,

I was with my girl friend in the Barangay hotel in Amsterdam, which is about five minutes away from the central station.

The atmosphere and the owner of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was tropical decorated with an own television inside and we had our own bathroom nearly at our bedroom.

On the next morning the owner of the hotel surprised us with a very tasty breakfast at our bed. That was really fantastic and we felt well like in a hotel with 4 or five stars.

The day-trip in Amsterdam was very good and we were both enthused from the hotel and from the city.

It was really great to live in this sunny studio in the wonderful area of Jordan.
Very very nice...I recommand it

In May 2005 I stayed at Sunny Studio part of Barangay B&B with my two daughters one of whom was living in east Netherlands.

The studio was indeed sunny and had a great view down the street to the canal. We were able to eat out at great cafe's and restaurants in our street and buy supplies from high quality bakers and delicatessens nearby.

We really enjoyed sitting on the window seat of the bay window looking down the busy street with a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee and pastry in the morning- bliss!

We loved the weekend market at Jordain, lots of good food and flowers.

The studio was well equipped and well furnished, a relaxing and comfortable space and would have easily accomodated up to four people.

Wimmo and Godwin were a pleasure to deal with, very helpful and set it all up for us via the internet.

A good choice for those who wnat to self cater and be in an area that is lively without being noisy. Near to the station, all Amsterdam attractions including Ann Frank museum and good local shops and markets.

Go there!

Barangay is a wonderful B&B located a few minutes from the central station in Amsterdam. You can walk virtually anywhere in the city so the location is great, especially since it's on a quiet street.

The owners take very good care of you. The room was very nice: clean and cool... a little terrace right outside that you share with another room. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was very good.

I highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
