We stayed at the Barangay for my 30th and it was fantastic. The guys are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The location is perfect - just a short walk from the train station and into town (they gave us a map with all the relevant stuff and marked out all the places to see/avoid, whether it be local or tourist, clubbing or cultural). The rooms were comfortable and clean as were the bathrooms and it was a great spread for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again and have already reccommended it to everyone!

One of my best stays in Amsterdam EVER! Godwin and Wimmo were very friendly, gracious hosts. The room was tastefully and excitingly decorated! The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The location is perfect: a quiet, nice neighborhood, but definitely close enough to all the naughty and nice things to do! These guys also know the city inside and out and are happy to tell you where to go and what to do. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and ambience so much that I spent a huge amount of time in the room writing and painting. I'll never plan a trip to Amsterdam without contacting Barangay! Thanks Godwin and Wimmo!

The Barangay is a wonderful oasis right in the center of Amsterdam. I was delighted to find myself on a pretty street, steps from the canals and markets, and close enough to the train station and public transportation to hit places further away. Godwin is a wonderful host and treated me like family, and I really appreciated his advice about the neighborhood and help with booking my museum tickets. (Wimmo was on vacation, but I am sure he's wonderful too). The place is spacious, immaculate, and wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast is wonderful. I can't recommend Barangay enough, and I'm happy that I have a home away from home in Amsterdam!

We just returned from our week long trip to The Netherlands.
It was a wonderful vacation and what greatly enhanced the
experience was staying at the Barangay B&B in Amsterdam. It was a short stroll from the Central Station and all the attractions that we visited, such as The VanGogh Museum, Anne Frank house, Red Light district, were in easy walking distance.
I was there with my niece, who is a college student and one of her fellow students. We had a cozy upstairs room with three single beds. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We were able to use the wonderful kitchen, which was one floor below our room to make coffee whenever we wanted it and to make our typically Dutch breakfast with the delicious breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, yogurt, etc. that was generously provided each morning.
Godwin, one of the hosts, made us feel very at home right away and gave us great directions and recommendations for sight-
seeing.
We will definately return in the future and give it a double thumbs up!
