Dear Travelers
We stayed at the Collector B& B in May and found it to be the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Karel is charming and thoughtful, the room was airy, clean and had a lovely balcony with window doors that open to the outside. The kitchen/dining area is just for the guests (host has his own space downstairs), and Karel keeps fresh bread, cheese, fruit, eggs, yogurts and a variety of tea/coffee for the guests to serve themselves at breakfast and whenever. There is a local grocery one block away that has heat and serve as well as all the necessities for folks that want to eat in or make their own picnic. The B&B has three rooms all on the same floor so it is cozy and private, you can visit with other guests or not, there is computer access for all downstairs. This marvelous place is a couple blocks away from the Van Gogh, is on great tram lines that take you wherever you want to go, is next to a great neighborhood with boutique shops and the Vongelpark. We loved it and would return in a heart beat. Amsterdam weather is constantly changing (which we loved) so bring layers and a small umbrella. PS, it looks exactly like the photos. Loved the red geraniums and enamel cookware.
