I had read good reviews of this bed and breakfast and we were not disappointed. It is ideally situated for the museums , and the lesser known part of Amsterdam De Pijp, and a tram ride away from the centre. There were a good selection of eating places nearby. The house is attractive, enhanced by Karel's collections of odd and not so odd items...I liked the wooden skates best. The room was spacious, although more storage space for our clothes would have helped, bathroom was a good size and immaculate. Our room overlooked the back garden and had a little balcony which was a nice quiet place to sit. Guests share the kitchen: now this is a great idea as you can come and go as you please and breakfast is therefore "laid back" , with everything provided. Karel is the perfect host and knowledgeable about the city and helpful in all ways. The travel books which were there helped us a lot in organising our days. Free internet access was very helpful for me. I think this bed and breakfast is excellent value for money, in a very nice part of the city.
