This a wonderful B&B, right in the heart of Amsterdam, just 5 min. walk from the major museums. The rooms are large, airy, light and clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. We stayed in the front double room facing the street. It has a large balcony with double-doors and the bathroom is large and spotless. The neighborhood is quiet so you can get a good nights rest. On top of everything, the host is extremely gracious and knowledgeable about what to do/see in Amsterdam. It's also nice that the kitchen for guest use is left open through the day/night, so that you can make yourself a cup of tea/coffee regardless of when you get back to the house. Because the owner's living quarters are separate, you don't feel as if you are invading his space as in some smaller B&B's. He also makes available his computer with internet access and has all the popular guidebooks, that you can use while there. There is a tram stop just opposite the front door, making it all the more convenient to get around town. This is not just a great B&B but also definitely better than most hotels, even the 4 or 5*s, as it's so much more comfortable and spacious but has all the conveniences they usually provide, without that icky sterile hotel feeling. Also has cable TV with many english-language channels.
