We spent four nights in Amsterdam in early April this year. Staying at the Collector added to our enjoyment of this lovely city. The location was fabulous - proximity to the museums, public transport, restaurants etc. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Karel was a wonderful host - helpful and informative. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who was looking for comfortable, convenient and friendly accommodation.

I traveled to Amsterdam with my sister, we had 4 wonderful days there. Karl was very helpful to give us guideness of things to do and see in Amsterdam. Our rooms were very clean, and spacious, the kitchen for breakfast was well stocked with everything a person could possibly want, there was no reason for anyon e to go hungry. The kitchen was always open and a grocery store was close by so we could pick up some snacks for ourselves and had full us of the kitchen.

The location was also great, as if we chose we could into town, we felt very safe walking around by ourselves. Also at the end of the day, if we were too tired to walk home the tram stop was conveniently located to get us home.

The Vondelpark was a quick two minute walk away where my sister and I enjoyed relaxing and taking pictures in the evening.

Karl also provided free laundry service for us, and free internet access. Which was a blessing as we could access our emails for news from home.

We had a very enjoyable stay. A big room with lots of windows, very comfy bed, a table to sit at, couch, good lighting, bathroom with excellent shower, lots of food available for breakfast, access to kitchen all day, your own key so you could come and go at will. Very convenient location, just a few steps from a tram stop, easy access to tourist sites, walking distance to Rijksmuseum and Canal tours. Karel was an unobstrusive but very helpful host lots of information available. Would definately stay here again.

My wife and I recently stayed with Karel while on our honeymoon in Europe. What more can I say then, if you go to Amsterdam then you have to stay with Karel. Not only is his B&B beautiful inside and out, but Karel himself is a wonderful person. Great location and close to everything, as well as large rooms with comfortable beds. I could go on and on, but after three weeks in Europe and 10 hotels, The Collector ranks at the top of our list. We will be back to Amsterdam for sure, which includes staying with Karel. Thank you for everything Karel!!
