“Van Gogh Exibition”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Went to this exhibition as the Van Gogh museum is currently closed for renovation. Whilst it was great to have all of his works in one place the fact that they were all prints and not one actual painting was on show I found disappointing considering it cost 16 Euros to per adult to visit.

“[--] - this isn't art, its reproductions. You don't have to come to Amsterdam for this crap.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

If I want to study paitings, I use the Google Art Project, browse the web, and use a book. Why come to the Netherlands, with literally hundreds of the best paintings of Van Gogh, and then see a really expensice tourist trap, rip off?

You go at your own peril - the joke will be on you.

“Van Gogh:My Dream Exhibition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Just back from Amsterdam, and we REALLY enjoyed the exhibition.
The works of Van Gogh have been "digitally remastered" and some have have had animations made from them (apple blossoms falling from the branches etc) and it was GREAT!!
I would say this would NOT be for art "purists" but really good fun...ESPECIALLY the interactive Starry Night iPad app, where you can mess about with the swirls etc...Brilliant. I think this would be a GREAT attraction for kids...

“modern architecture building with great view over Amsterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

When in Amsterdam if interested in modern architecture this building is really worth a visit. There is a Cafè, on the side which looks over Beurs Plein and they organize guided tours of the building and the tower. Apparently they started not long ago, so nobody knows about it and i got a personal private guided tour from one of the guys from the cafè who told me the story of the building, its peculiarities and took me to the top of the tower from where you can have a nice view of the whole town.

“Poor venue for a large conference”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2009

June.2009
The place did not cope well with a large conference. The large hall was like sitting in a freezer. When everyone tried to go into the area for a drink or coffee it was complete chaos.
The opening welcome speach was spoilt by the temperature, technical problems. The welcome drink and food was chaos everyone for themselves. They found it difficult to deliver food to everyone on the opening evening. The toilets could not cope with a large number of women at the conference.
Probably not the venues fault but the power points did not always work , videos were missiing sound and technology was a real problem.
