Artemis Design hotel is a quit good hotel, with friendly people at the reception. Breakfast is varied and overall OK (pancakes, waffles, everything for an english breakfast but coffee could be improved -we are in the Netherlands, aren't we?- as well as some fresh fruit juice would be welcome - Orange one is really chemical!!!-). it is really quiet at least at WE (in the middle of a business area so maybe week days are busier... close to IBM, PwC and Mexx offices). Do not expect though to find a restaurant nearby and downtown Amsterdam is around 30mn distance (8mn of good walk and then tram 2). Beware when you come from central Amsterdam train station to leave the tram on the right (not on the left as mentionned in the hotel site.... otherwise you will be ready but a nice walk in the middle of nowhere!!!). Decoration is quite "Design"... some likes it. Nice bed for a good sleep.... but no sleepers in the room and no soap or just one 25ml shower gel in the room on arrival.... disapointing to have to go down to reception to ask for soap on arrival in a 4* hotel.
Overall, a good quality price ratio if you manage to pay B&B less than 70 EUR per night for 2 people. Around 30EUR/15mn by Taxi to Shipol if no trafic.
