My daughter and I only stayed over night, the staff was very welcoming and helpful giving us plenty of information about transport and the best place to get off the tram. The room was lovely it had everything we needed (it even had an iron and trouser press). Will definitely go back.

The hotel is not very far from the main attractions. The location is quiet and the tram & bus station are 10 min walking distance far. The staff is ok. In general everything was ok. If you are thinking of taking a taxi prepare to pay 25 euro + to get to the center.
Except the distance from the center I would consider staying again here.

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for his birthday. It was a fantastic experience and the staff is very helpful and kind. The breakfast exceptional and the room very comfortable. The hotel is close to bus stop and very good to reach every destinations of the city. I suggest to stay in this hotel. Beautiful and professional!!!

We stayed for 7 nights and it seemed like none was cleaning the dust in the room, bed linen had moulded stains on it and they could not take the dirty glasses for three days.

There was only one spot in the room where there was a very poor wi-fi signal, that was very annoying.

However, the hotel itself was okay, it takes around 20min to get to the centre by the 145 bus which goes every 30min.

Stayed here for 4 nights (Monday - Friday) this week and was fairly happy with the whole experience.

Location - I feel that the hotel is getting unfair reviews due to the location. Marking a hotel down due to it's location is not really on, if you need a hotel close to the city centre then book one there. For us the location meant a 10 minute walk to the tram/bus stop then a 30 minute ride to Amsterdam Centraal or a 20 minute ride to Leidseplein. A 6 day travel ticket cost us 25 Euro which covered the whole trip and the wait for transport was never more than 10 minutes. The walk from the tram stop was through a pleasant residential area complete with rabbits, trees and a stream.

Comfort - The room was fairly big with 2 double beds which were quickly pushed together. My other half wasn't impressed with the cleaning staff pushing them back apart but it was no issue for me. When pushed together they created the biggest bed I've ever seen which made of a great nights sleep. The temperature was just fine.

There was no mini bar but instead an empty fridge. This was perfect for storing food and drinks in which saved us around 30 Euro a day on breakfast. The TV was a little quiet but this could be seen as a good thing if you're located next to somebody that watches TV all night.

Cost - For 4 nights the hotel cost 235 euro including city tax. When you compare this to what was available in the city centre at the time it represents fantastic value for money and makes the 30 minute trip to the centre more than acceptable. I would have expected to pay at least another 50 Euro per night for something similar in the centre. The free WiFi was fantastic running at around 40 mbit, the kind of connection I would expect to be charged for.

In summary, couldn't have been happier for the cost.

Not very pricey so that is the first thing that will allure you but wait and think again. The hotel looks very elegant and corporate. Modern design and awesome paintings/ artifacts. But there are a lot more things for which you would want to choose your hotel for. Our check in was nearly 45 mins late and that too after a lot of chasing. Had lunch in the open air restaurant by the canal, which was awesome and we were truly impressed. But soon our first impression was to go down the drain as the check in issues followed with not so friendly staff. Room was nice and clean and well furnished and super king size bed with decent sheets and pillows. Lighting was very dim... was a trouble during the day for getting ready (esp if you want to deck up)! The other shock was that we were 2 bus change and 30-40 mins away from Centraal (which would be your epicenter during the holiday most of the time). So that really put us off. Planned to have dinner at the restaurant on one tiring day and we were completely disgusted. The dinner was way too expensive (60+ euros) and the quantity was too ill sized! 24 room service only has Pizza option. Not so impressed. The hotel in itself is good but some of the main concerns you might have for holiday, would not tick here. Staff needs to work on hospitality. But restaurant staff were really nice, thankfully! Would not want to stay there again mainly coz it puts you away from the city's main interest points.

This hotel could be really lovely. The interior is clean and modern, the rooms are comfortable. It's a bit too far away - ideal for business travellers I imagine as it's in a business park, but not really ideal for holiday makers wanting to get into Amsterdam.

The reason I have given it a one star is the staff - I have never been met with such rude and unhelpful staff before - ever. Upon checking in we were told that our son didn't have a bed - even though he was listed on the fully paid for booking as a 10 year old child. We were told that he should share a single bed with one of us. We said that this may be okay for a much younger child but not a 10 year old. They were adamant that their customers usually request for children under 12 to share single beds with their parents - speechless. The refused to help and told us to pay an extra 50 euro per night, even though the booking was accepted months back.
