Our stay at the Aalborg Hotel was very pleasent! The service is excellent and the staff was very helpful with questions about directions and other things. Clean rooms, and all in all, super nice if you wanna stay for only a couple of days!
It's maybe 20 min from Dam Square with tram, but the neighbourhood is really cozy with a lot of restaurants and small shops.
Perfect first choice for a fast decision of travel!

Room Tip: If you're only there for a bed to sleep in for a couple of nights, the small rooms works just fi...

First of all, I had trouble booking this hotel because there was a problem with my credit card, and the hotel was nice enough to hold my reservation for two days so I could get it sorted out. This was rather nice of them as it was kinda late notice and there was not a lot of availability around.

The room was very nice and clean, The bathroom was big and nice and clean as well. I had a few questions and the staff was friendly and spoke english. Would stay there again.

For this price the hotel is really ok. The rooms are quite small, but clean and everthing was alright. About 10 min. with the tram away from the central station, or about 20-30 minutes walk to the leidseplein. But don't expect anything luxurious.

Kinda far from the major Amsterdam attractions, but it's also cheap.. Rooms are tiny, i could literally wash my hands while sitting on the toilet, and the sink was so small that i always splash water on the ground when washing my face. Also, walls are paper-thin, so if you're a light sleeper you'll have trouble sleeping specially with cars driving outside. There is a tram station a block away though.

Stayed here for 2 nights, 6 of us in 3 rooms. Triple room on bottom floor was very large, 2 doubles on 4th floor were much smaller, but all rooms were spotless and for the short time spent in them they were perfect. Had breakfast at hotel, good value at 9 euros. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. Walked to Dam Square ( a good 30-45 mins) but would recommend getting the no 25 Tram back at night. Airport taxi if booked at hotel reception is much cheaper than the rest. We all enjoyed staying at Aalborg. No negatives at all.
