We have just come back from a weekend with friends staying here and would not hesitate to go back time and time again.

Peter is definately a people person, warm, kind, a wicked sense of humour and produces breakfasts to die for! I can vouch for the dutch apple bread pudding and the pancakes along with the chocolate cake when we came back in the afternoons.

We stayed in the Pug Room at the front of the property which had everything we required and more.

Its the little personal touches that make Boogaards special, from the maps and guides in your room, the blanket for the roof terrace for those chilly moments, tea and coffee facilities and the recipe for THAT bread pudding.

We had a lovely weekend and felt as if we were amongst friends and family. I would recommend Boogaards to anyone looking for accommodation in Amsterdam, you won't find better!

What can we say - Peter is a wonderful host and made us feel so welcome into his wonderful home. Everything was clean and comfortable and his breakfasts were to die for!! We can especially recommend the bread pudding recipe and his pancakes meant we didnt have any room to eat until later that evening! What a kind, interesting man who joined us at the breakfast table and had many wonderful stories to tell. All we can say is a big THANK YOU and we would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone who will listen! Great value for money , great location and great company!

I have only just returned from Amsterdam but got straight on to the website to write a review, as I can't tell enough people about this place!! I could go on about all the other things the 49 reviews before me have said (which is basically this is by far the best place you wil ever stay in) but I would just be repeating what they have already stated.
This bed and breakfast is fabulous, amazing, fantastic, superb... There aren't enough words to describe how much my boyfriend and I enjoyed staying there. I am already looking on the internet for flights back there just so I can go and stay with Peter, Tomasz and Pepe!!
Peter is a fantastic host and I can't thank him enough for making our stay so exceptional. We look forward to returning before the year is out, and I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else in Amsterdam now that I have found Boogaards.

My partner and I were very impressed with Boogaards.
As soon as we arrived the interior and decor of the place was lovely. A very warm and homely feeling. Peter the owner was such a lovely person, he couldn't do enough to help. He gave us guide maps to Amsterdam, umbrellas for when it was raining and always had lovely homemade cake for when we came back during the day. He loved cooking and the breakfasts were unbelievable, I have never seen so much food on one table and the breakfasts were very tasty. The rooms are spotless, very clean and lovely decor to them, the beds are so comfortable.
Beware that there is a lot of stairs, they are very steep and winding, but you get used to them after a while. The Bed and Breakfast is located just around the corner from the Leideshplein and is only a 5min walk which was very handy.
I would definitely stay at Boogaards again and if you haven't been to Amsterdam, I would highly recommend you visit as it is such a fantastic place.
