“Amsterdams Finest B & B.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

We just spent three nights in this great establishment run by the owner Peter.
He cooks up the most scrumptious breakkfasts every morning and sits down with us to plan our daily itinerary.. We were provided with fresh home baked cakes and treats to have with our coffee every day, free wifi, a complimentary laptop provided with each room. In our fridge every day we were provided with free cans of drink. Beds were great soft feather pillows, exceptionally neat and clean. The owners have two small very well behaved dogs who love to interact with the guests as much as the owners. At the endo of our stay our laundry was taken away and done for us free of charge. The position of the B&B is near the main square and all the sights as well as near the Notorious red light area. Very convenient for anything you want to see and do in Amsterdam. We have travelled the world and never have we stayed at a more welcoming B&B When we were leaving they stored our luggage and when we came back to pick it up for our departure to the airport even called a taxi for us, it was just like home. Well done Boogaards..

We stayed at this B&B in early July and had a wonderful experience. Likely the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Peter was a wonderful host with great attention to detail. We would recommend this B&B to anyone.

This was our 5th time visiting Peters B&B, but the first in his new place and the first time in Summer. We were curious about how the new place would look...well the answer is fabulous.

There are 3 rooms all decorated in a dog theme, with good bathrooms. There is also access to a fridge with bottles of Prosecco and Beer to help yourself along with goodies that Peter bakes each day for an afternoon treat. Breakfast is huge with again all home baked delights, pancakes, apple pudding, fresh fruit, hame and eggs on bread with cheese....you will never go hungry. In fact your clothes will just get tighter..I put on 4lbs in 3 days, but there was no way I would pass up such fabulous food.

A real bonus is the room terrace that Peter has created. There are sun loungers and a fridge full of drinks up there...and the peace is lovely in the middle of a city. Its very private and a lovely way to end the day with a sundowner.

Once again another great stay...why anyone would want to stay in a chain hotel beats me when you've got this place. Peter is the perfect host...it's like you are staying in a friends house...that's how welcome you feel. There is also the added bonus of two super friendly Jack Russell's called Curly and Pepe.

Thank you Peter and Tomasz for another great stay...you so know we will be back!

J & P xxxx

Stayed again at Peter's B&B for three nights with friends. Peter has moved the B&B from his old location nearer to the centre of town, just off the Dam Square.

The rooms are wonderfully decorated and furnished, powerful walk in showers, one has a small private balcony and all have private tea, coffee and drinks facilities and oh the complimentary Prosecco and cakes baked daily by Peter. He also makes a fantastic breakfast, different every day but if you are allergic to anything be sure to tell him in advance as generally there is one main breakfast dish such as the traditional Dutch ham, eggs and cheese on bread. You will not leave feeling hungry I can assure you!

Then at the top of the house, there is a wonderful roof terrace where the noise of Amsterdam all seems to disappear although you are only just around the corner from the bars, cafés and "coffee shops".

They have two wonderful small dogs Pepe and Curly, so you must meet them too. There is a dog theme running through much of the house.

Great location, great hospitality with the most thoughtful host Peter, beautiful and comfortable rooms, food and overall it deserves it's number one slot on trip advisor!

There are too many great things to write about Boogaards B&B, but there are two reasons to stay here: Peter's hospitality and the beautiful house.

Every morning Peter put together a different, beautiful, delicious breakfast. Each one surpassed the one before it and they were often one of the best meals of the day. He would sit with the guests and ask about your plans for the day - making sure that you knew directions, tips & tricks, and that you were settled before you left. He would also offer suggestions and help with reservations. He was so much fun to talk to and truly cared that you were comfortable and having a great trip.

The house itself is extremely modern, very comfortable, and more amenities than you would expect. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are really comfortable, and the bathrooms are big (especially for European standards). It's also in a great location - you can literally walk anywhere in the city.

There's no doubt that I will stay here again if I make it back to Amsterdam!

Peter is an exceptional, warm, and indulging host with a fantastic house in a great location. We felt spoiled by his attention to our needs and desire for us to enjoy our time in Amsterdam. When we first arrived the requested 3rd bed was not in the room because of a miscommunication, but after a quick walk around the neighborhood for us to get our bearings, they had all in order. Great breakfasts, treats throughout the day and evening, complimentary refreshments. We've never been so impressed by a B&B. Truly impeccable attention to detail. Thanks Peter!
