“Very nice staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed at this hotel for a week and we absolutely loved it. We upgraded to a premium double king bed room. We stayed in room #514, which was a corner room right next to the elevator. The corner room was amazing, almost all the walls were windows with great views! The room itself was nice, not the newest and nicest, but for the price and because of the view it did not matter. The canal right by the hotel was under construction, which was a bummer, however I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions about the tram and the train, I don't know what I would have done without the helpful staff! I would definitely stay there again, and I would probably request room 514 because of the great view!

Clean, spacious rooms with excellent location for the museums. Also close to trams for visiting other parts of the city.

Staff kind, but the bar staff a bid odd, and ask for hot coffee unless you want it 'cool'!

I didn't have the breakfast when there, but it looked good.

Little, did we know just how convenient this hotel would be. When we looked for top rated restaurants, we had a good choice within walking distance. We were told to get a room on the 6th or 7th floor overlooking the canal. Well, as we were to find, the canal was undergoing renovation, so we were very happy with our 6th floor room overlooking the grounds on the opposite, side. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Customer service was excellent, and the lobby area was pleasant and inviting. And, the wifi worked so well! We would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed walking around the area. Lots to see and do.

Room Tip: 6th or 7th floor

Our recent trip to Amsterdam, with a well known travel group/coordinator, had us booked for several days at this hotel. It is just a short walk to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, tram, and other tourist destinations. Our room was not large, but comfortable and well appointed. The tub/shower combination was partially enclosed with a swinging glass panel; this inadequate provision was prone to floor flooding and required multiple towels to wipe up the floor. After our first night our room was never cleaned the following day.
The included breakfast was typical and the waitstaff rather unfriendly. If given a choice, I would stay elsewhere next time.

Room Tip: We did not have a choice of room selection; it was part of our tour.

We have stayed here previously and it was as good as we remembered; great location within five minutes walk of the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. The rooms are large and airy - one whole wall is floor to ceiling windows so the views are great. Our room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the kettle with tea and coffee a welcome added extra. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam - it's away from the city centre but near enough that you don't feel cut off. There is a nearby tram stop meaning you can be in the heart of town within five to ten minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor, we had one on the 7th floor with a great view over the canal and b...

The hotel has good location combined with average rooms as well as breakfast. I would definitely recommend having the breakfast at some other place as their are many great alternatives in Amsterdam.

Good choice if you are touristing.
