“Proximity to the tram service makes this a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We found this hotel to be in a great location - destinations which were too far away to walk to were easily accessed by tram (the nearest stop was only 100m from the hotel).

We opted for a room upgrade at check-in (at extra cost) and found ourselves in a huge room where one entire wall was windows overlooking a canal. We found the beds particularly comfortable.

We only had breakfast at the hotel once during our stay, and found it to be fine. We enjoyed drinks in the hotel's bar a couple of times after spending the day as tourists. A nice way to end the day.

All staff were very friendly. The hotel's laundry was also great for travellers, such as us, who are away for an extended period.

we stayed here for three nights booked via Avios points - so i will be honest and say we wouldn't normally have booked this hotel - but i am so glad we did - excellent location - five mins walk from the main museums and a further 5 mins top into town.

All the staff - from reception to housekeeping were excellent - all very friendly and welcoming no matter what time of day you saw them.

The room and bathroom was on the 7th floor - and we were facing the rear of the hotel - which was just what was needed for a good nights sleep - very happy with the bathroom - the shower was wonderful. My particular favourite thing was that there was so much hot water so a proper soak in the bath was lovely and very welcome after lots of walking about.

Breakfast was very good - mostly continental choice with some cooked (eggs in various forms and bacon) - great if you are a coffee lover - but i am afraid not so good for tea drinkers - but that is me being fussy.

We did try room service on one evening - little tip - we had pizza - and thought they would be small ones - they aren't - one would have done!!

This is a great hotel - i would have no hesitation in going back when next in Amsterdam

Stayed for a long weekend, rooms were really spacious, clean and bright. We stayed on the 7th floor, great views! Location is great, tram stop right around the corner, but after the first day its easy to walk to central Amsterdam. Really quiet area and friendly, helpful staff.

It was my partners birthday and when we returned the hotel had left a bottle of wine in our room and card in celebration, which was a really thoughtful, unexpected touch!

Only thing I would say is the carpets throughout could do with an update ( a little worn in areas!)

Overall a great base and I would definitely recommend

Thanks :)

This hotel is very easy to get to from the airport and getting into Amsterdam centre couldn't be easier. A few good restaurants are near by and within easy walking distance. The staff were helpful and welcoming, we were offered an upgrade on arrival, but declined as we thought €25 a night was a bit too expensive. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice, the dinning room has a good view of the nearby canal. We had a room on the 7th floor which was at the back, so was very quiet. Glad it had decent blackout curtains as the outside security lights never went off. The bathroom was very clean and well supplied. The room has heating or aircon and the bed was comfortable. My only criticism is the lay out of the room. Because we were on the top floor, the outside wall was completely glass and slopped from top to bottom. So the curtains were hung from the top of the window but at floor level they ended up about a meter into the room. Ok when it was daylight and you just had the net curtains. But at night with the main curtains closed, these curtains were right up against the bed. With the result, should you with to use the bathroom at night, you had to push passed them, not easy in the dark. This also means there was no bedside table on this side nor was there a reading light. All in all a strange room layout. In fact I got the impression this was originally a single room which has been made into a double.

Clean and comfortable room, good bed, good bathroom, what more can you ask for? The breakfast was good, plenty of newspapers (coffee pretty rough if you're used to good espresso or Nespresso). Teas a bit "Dutch" (English people don't drink Lipton). Efficient and friendly front desk. I will go there again. Very conveniently situated.

What a good hotel for a weekend in Amsterdam. Close to everything you need, the tram to get you into the centre of Amsterdam, 2 minute walk to the tram stop and the 16 and 24 gets you around. Museums are just a few minutes walk away. Nice quiet area to relax in after a day out and about. Good size room with everything you need and free wi-fi (that works). Our room was on the first floor overlooking the canal, really good size with a mini bar. Only complaint was the mattress which was very hard, and woke up with a bad back on both mornings but I guess that is just a personal preference and some people would love it. Staff were very helpful when we had a problem with the safe in the room and very welcoming.
