“Great Location - Quiet and Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This hotel is just under a 5 minute walk from all the major museums on Museum Quarter. It's also withing walking to the Heineken Experience and the De Pijp area (great for finding a bite to eat). The hotel is located right on the canal and so the view from the rooms was wonderful. It was a great area for walking and exploring. The staff was so friendly and so willing to help us. We even rented bikes from the hotel and had a great time enjoying Amsterdam by bike! We are hoping to go back to Amsterdam in December and if we do we will stay here again!

Fantastic location if you're in town to see the art museums. Just 5 min walk and a very quite area where you can sleep with you window open without noice outside. My room was spacious and comfortable. Free Internet is a plus. The breakfast is varied and very good, and there's a nice gym in the basement. The reception staff was however a bit slow and seemed a bit uninterested. The bar staff was usually not there - we had to wait for ages to order a drink, and had to get the reception to ring them to pay...

We come through Amsterdam regularly, but this was our first stay at the NH Hotel. We decided to try a smaller hotel and it was worth the effort. Parking was accessible and worked well. We will definitely stay at NH Quarter again!

Excellent location for the newly refurbished Rijksmuseum as well as many others close by. Also close enough to walk into the City centre but a nice quiet location so you get a good night's sleep! Room sizes are generous but the hotel is probably due for a refurb soon.

To spend four nights at this hotel and had an excellent stay. It's not in the heart of downtown but in the museum quarter is a great quiet location and a nice break from all the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The only downfall was poor lighting in the bathroom. There are number of very good restaurants in the area and short walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, close to the museum quarter. Room size is adequate square footage, but the furniture requires immediate changing. Wi-Fi is very bad except in the lobby. It must be admitted that the room and bathroom clean and tidy. Breakfast disappointing - I was expecting a much larger number of the famous of Dutch cheeses. . The reception staff speaks English with a heavy accent as for me, where English is not the native language can be a problem in some situations. However, the staff is ready to help you advice if you need it.
