“Good value - needs to get used to guests who are not students”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Stayed one night

Pros: Comfy bed, clean room, easy check in, kitchen in room! Wifi. Nice cafe downstairs
Not fancy - but great value.

Cons: promised (in marketing, website, etc) bike was not available, extra taxes to pay on check in, no cups or basics to make hot drink in room. Also - quite a way out of town.

Overall, great if you are a student looking to spend term time in Amsterdam - but they need to work on the weekenders and holiday makers like us.

if you plan to organize stuff in the room there is no closet,no place to put anything except on the table and couple of drawers. in the shower only a sink and a toilet, except that the room is pretty good and the bed comfy. one problem that there were no trash can in our room, and when we asked the reception they gave us plastic bag and never gave a trash can eventually. also one small problem that they told me by phone that there is a kitchen that we will be able to use but at the reception the girls said its only for students that live there and not for tourists. besides that the location is pretty good the hotel is clean and lobby very beautiful. besides lack of kitchen pretty good value for the money.

Room Tip: choose room on upper floors cause the down floorse face to bus station.

Totally new,good design,not only for young people.
Rooms are quiet with all basic comfort,
Airco system works all night through.
Restaurant and breakfast,at good prices.Only way to pay is by card.
Young atmosphere,but no problem for older people like me.
Safe parking possibilities;
Tram and metro in front of the Hotel,15 min.to the center,

I recently stayed at the student hotel in Amsterdam, on business. The rooms are basic, but clean, the bar is good, the staff friendly and efficient. There is a fantastic common area, with great facilities. Well worth a visit!
