Although we had informed the owners of the date and time of our overseas arrival we had to wait in a café for the apartment to be prepared. After which, to our disappointment, we were provided with two towels, no soap, very few kitchen utensils, a broken coffee maker and nowhere to hang a towel in the poorly lit bathroom. The internet was down for three days and we found a blood stained pillow under the pillow case. The lighting was so poor we had to read with a flashlight in the evening. After three days of email requests for more adequate lighting we were provided with slightly upgraded bulbs which did not cure the situation. We briefly met the owner 8 days after our arrival. This is a bare bones apartment with few amenities or comforts and while the advertisement says it is on a canal it overlooks the back of other apartments. I would not recommend it as we could only grade it as tolerable.

We did not realize that you had such a bad experience. Sorry for that. Thanks for the feedback.
Since your stay we changed the internet set-up and added an extra router.
Further, as you know, during your stay we replaced the coffee maker, the pillow, we changed the lighting and we provided extra towels.
We found you a pleasant guest. Hopefully you will find a place that suits you better next time.
