“Great value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

The sushi is decent, the service friendly and prompt. We are regulars there, and the kids love it. The on,y problem is that they don't carry Heineken!!

“Decent food, good value. Service a bit tired.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Good value for a restaurant where you pay one rate for all you can eat. The different dishes were fun to try and I loved the pickles. My wife had two seaweed salads. But the sushi and sashimi were adequate, not great... don't expect great at this kind of restaurant. Good experience. The staff are very efficient but look a bit tired... always moving the dishes you just finished. You order 8 items and if you don't eat them all you get taxed extra!! :) So don't order what you can't eat. But when we have a hankering for some Japanese at an OK price, we'll prob. go again.

“The place for you, if you feel like custumising your meal.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

This is a all you can eat sushi place (10-15min) from the very center of the city. It is well connected by a Tram line and nearby the Heineken Museum. Here they have all you can eat menu around lunch time for rather cheap price (15-18euro, if I recall) or around 20 euro for dinner. The system for ordering food is a bit complex, since you will be provided with a list where you must tick the dishes that you would like. Additionally, some "special" dishes have extra charges. At each round of order, you have 6 ticks for each person available. You can go up to 4 rounds per person, but 3 is more that overwhelming for even a large man. At dinner, there are more options.

The positive aspect is clearly the opportunity to plan your meal as you wish. With a slow start, with the sushi at some point, etc. You can really eat what you feel like eating moment by moment. On the other hand the quality is not top. Some of the dishes are clearly Japanese, but feels adulterated by foreigner's taste and hands; considering the type of restaurant, it is good. The fish in Sushi is OK; I don't recommend the fries.

I have been here several times and I had always a positive experience. I think this is the place for you, if you feel like improvising you meal on your own way. You can decide to have a hardcore traditional Japanese meal, or a strange combination of what ever fits best to your beer and turn the night into a drinking night at "Sakaya (Pub)". This freedom is unique to the fact, you will not need to check on how much you For certain, this place is far better than strange Asian/Sushi places where you see food that you never saw in Japan, or where they offer "all-you-can-eat" consisting mostly in fake-chinese dishes sold as Japanese...

This place deserves 5 star, simply because it is an original, fun, and free experience to eat here.

“Japanese all you can eat lunch close to Albert Cuyp and Museumplein”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

If you'd like to enjoy a quick and easy japanese/asian lunch between the shopping at Albert Cuypmarket and visiting the museums, this is a good choice. We enjoyed all you can eat lunch which offers 8 different choices per person in 4 rounds in the duration of 2 hours for price of 17,50 per person. We managed 9 pieces per person in 3 rounds and were full ! Firstly: do not expect a high class sushi experience, although I have to say everything was fresh (I also saw the cooks preparing everything in great detail fresh on order). If you chose f.ex. ribeye rolls, they are the most delicious things I have had in a long time and I am not a meat eater. The Ebi tempura shrimps were huge and juicy. We saw an Asian family consume a lot of food next to us and they all seemed pretty happy munching away. It is bit pricey, but the service was very friendly and quick.
