“I stayed 8 nights, and.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

I stayed at the Bellevue 8 nights and very much enjoyed it.

Very clean!
Comfortable bed.
Room was cleaned/service every day.
Safe hotel - they control who is allowed to come on the premises, plus free safe in room.
On-site cafe with buffet breakfast.
Awesome location - just across the street from Central location, and best of all...

The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. A special thanks for Mandy for answering all my tourist-related questions!

The single room I had was small but clean and well appointed. Nice shower with plenty of hot water. Nice TV. Plenty of hangers. Non-smoking hotel.

Overall, a great hotel for budget travel. I'll stay here again for sure.

The location near the central station is a bonus. The hotel staf is really friendly. My room in the 100% smokeless hotel unfortunately smelled like an ashtray. When I went down to report this, they immediately offered me an upgrade from a single to a twin room without any hesitation. Clean room with everything you need. The room at the front side was pretty noisy with an open window, but nothing of noise with the window closed. The free wifi is a bit slow though. The breakfast is good enough to dutch standards.

After reading some of the reviews, i was a little concerned. However, i could not see why people have moaned about this lovely, freindly, central station hotel. Ticked all the boxes. Central for everything my partner and i wanted ie, coffeeshops, canal tours, restaurants and bars. Rooms were fresh and clean. Reception staff were friendly and couldnt be more helpfull. The cafe bistro joined to the hotel was nice, staff were freindly and helpfull. It served coffee and snacks till 16.30, which were freshly prepared to order. All in all i will definetley be back to the Bellevue hotel. If people are going to moan about small rooms, trying getting out of the room more often, after all, your in amsterdam!!!! Please, please beware of the many 'Argintinian grill restaurants'!! They are a rip off!!! Any restaurants with big flashy lightening that looks over the top, usually is!!!! Smokers try Hunters Coffeeshop and Coffeeshop Resin!!! Both next to hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter, as rooms at front are almost right on central station! I...

Located very close to the main railway station, this was a comfortable and nice hotel. I was booked into a single room, but ended up in a twin at no extra charge. The room was small, as most hotel rooms in this city seem to be, but was clean and did the job. The air conditioning worked fine, and the window was onto the ventilation shaft, but that wasn't a big problem. Got the room for a very competitive price, and would definitely consider staying there again. The reception staff were also very efficient and very welcoming.

4 of us stayed at the hotel in December for a 60th birthday, after reading the reviews on different sites (After we had booked) we were a little worried with stories of mice, cramped rooms and unfriendly staff. Well the rooms were not large, but everything you would need, bar a kettle, which is unusual these days, but we got on fine, staff marvellous really help full and not a mouse to be seen. All you could eat breakfasts "brill" set us up for the day. Train station just across the road easy journey to and from the airport. Next door a lovely little bar, with a very friendly barman. Tram stop out side hotel, restaurants all around and everything you would need within walking distance. If I were to return to Amsterdam, I would stay there again

Room Tip: We stayed at the back of the hotel and it was very quite our frinds stayed at the front and could he...

Since i was booking last minute and arriving during tulip season last week, my options were fewer. Most of the available hotels were either dorm style or quite pricey. Fortunately, I located this hotel on TA. Amongst all the rave reviews, I always make a point to read what the unhappy customers complaints were. I arrived at 3:30 a.m on the train due to flight delays. I walked about three minutes to the hotels CONVENIENT location where the friendly and efficient night auditor handed me a room key and my wifi password. In no time I was fast asleep in a spotlessly clean and comfortable room at a fair price. Exactly what I was looking for. You can't go wrong here.
