“Small Rooms which are Functional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2011

The hotel is located 400 mtr from the Amsterdam (main) rail station. As you comeout of the Station take a right turn and cross the bridge over the cannel and cross the Zebra marking on road. The center street is Marlelaarsgracht street. The hotel is third from the left hand side.

The room is very very small. If you have cross to go on other side of the double accupancy room, it will be deficult. The toilet is also very small, specially the bath tub and the wall along it. It is difficult to stand and take shower.

The only advantage is the location of the Hotel and the Closesness from Rail head and the areas of larger interests in Amsterdam.

No coffee, tea is available in the room. The toileries are also very average. The rental are without breakfast and are quite exorbitant. The room has a small 19 " lcd TV which was found very average.

Room Tip: Have look at the size of the room before you take it

Having read some reviews I was wary of this hotel but my fears were unfounded.
Great location near central station, reception staff were friendly.Room was small as others have said but with an on suite bathroom it was fine ( the shower was 1 of the best we've had anywhere powerful and instant hot water. People have complained that the nets were see through true but behind is a blackout roller blind.
We asked for extra pillows and this was dealt with immediately, fault on tv remote and they offered us another room.Breakfast was included in our package and we found the food good and as it is a buffet as much as you want. Overall we found this hotel suited our needs and we shall use it again. On the downside could do with the paint being touched up where luggage etc has scraped the walls.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back quieter there even though double glazing was very good.

Arrived pretty apprehensively after some dodgy reviews on this site, location couldn't have been better, staff could have been friendlier but no big deal, single room was small but overall for 50 pounds a night pretty much what you would expect.Read lots of reviews about problems with mice so requested a room on the top floor(logic being furthest from the restaurant, may have made no difference whatsoever)didn't see any or any sign of them at all nor did friends staying on the first floor.

The location for this hetel is great. Very close to Central station. Rooms are small, but not a problem for us. The bathroom was a good size considering the size of the room. There was no counter around the sink, just a small shelf high up. Could have done better there. Our room was facing the main street, when ever the tram cme by, sounds like thunder! Runs early in morn and late into the evening. I did have my ipod stolen. It was a small one, whoever took it, took the player and the charger I had with it. We went to the front desk, they said they would look into it, but when we went back, they following person didnt know of the situation. As we were leaving we checked again, there answer was sorry. I feel they could have offered something to right the situation. We have traveled overseas and in the US quite abit and this is the first time something like this has happened.

This hotel is across from Central Station. After a flight that landed 6 hours late and a short train ride to downtown Amsterdam, the short walk to the hotel at 9:30 pm was most welcome. The staff was personable and welcoming. The room was satisfactory. Nothing fancy, understand. The style was simple modern, a little dated, reminding me of the style of some "loft" hotels. But it was clean, quiet, the bed was satisfactory, the breakfast buffet was fine. Although the room had a window, it was a window onto an open shaft, so there was no view. but we wanted to be in the middle of Amsterdam for two days before a barge trip, and this was perfectly satisfactory. Our goals were to sleep there, eat a filling breakfast, and have easy access to walking in Amsterdam. We accomplished all three.

Room Tip: We checked in late and got the last room, so I have no idea what constitutes a "great" roo...

Was in Amsterdam for a few days prior to travelling to Germany via the EuroRail. The rooms at the Bellevue are definitely tiny but we hardly spent any time in the room. The room was definitely sufficient. If you're looking for luxurious, this isn't the place, although the rooms did have a trendy theme. The great thing about this hotel is location. While not a central location in the city of Amsterdam, it's just a few minutes walk from the rail and a lot of other sites. For the money, the room was good.

Room Tip: We went with a double room which was pretty tiny. If you're looking for more space, I would upg...

It is a very good hotel. Its location is very central, very near to Central Station and the Amsterdam centre.

Its staff is good, not very friendnly, but very correct.

Its rooms are very small, but its distribution is very good, so it is not necessary a bigger room.

Its breakfast is deficient. It is open buffet, but its variety is very short.

Its price is a little high for its services, but you know that it is Amsterdam.

It is a very good hotel, but high prices, small rooms, and (mainly) poor breakfast
