“A gem in the heart of Amsterdam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Stayed in Amsterdam 2 days before departing from Rotterdam on a cruise. V Nesplein is the perfect central location, near Dam Square and major attractions. Excellent restaurant and service at breakfast, lunch and evening dinner. Front desk staff is friendly, extra caring and most accomodating. We loved the place and we loved Amsderdam. We will be back for both...

The hotel is brand new. The team is receptive. We had problems with our flight but the attendant help us to solve. The location is nice. The restaurant is good. The price is reasonable. I recommend to other people.

We stayed here from 8 to 12 September 2013 as part of a long European trip. This was one of the best hotels we stayed in and we can not fault it. The room was perfect. It was very spacious and quiet. The hotel is perfectly located and it is easy to walk to most locations in and around the city. As a plus, the hotel has an attached restaurant that is, in our opinion, as good as a Michelin-starred restaurant. Lastly, the staff are very helpful and accommodating. We can strongly recommend this hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hotel V Nesplein! We are so happy to hear that you had a good stay and completely flattered that you would rank our restaurant The Lobby up with the Michelen stars! (If I tell that to the restaurant team they are going to get SUCH big egos!)
Hope to see you again one day soon!

Kind Regards,
Amanda

From our warm welcome from Wendy at the reception desk to our last coffee at breakfast, our stay at the Nesplein V was perfect. The decor is a trendy and fun mix of modern/steampunk chic with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms have black fixtures with huge rainhead showers and steamy hot water. The location next to Dam Square is ideal and the fact that the hotel is a block off of the main street insures a quiet nights rest. The hotel restaurant, The Lobby, serves delicious food with attentive service. Breakfasts were a pleasant surprise with many choices and ala carte options. The Eggs Benedict and French Toast were wonderful! We hope to return to lovely Amsterdam and the Nesplein V soon!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at Hotel V Nesplein! You know, I have never heard it desribed as "steampunk" but in fact that makes a lot of sense!
So happy to hear that you had a good stay with us, and Wendy will be pleased that you remembered her name! :)
See you again one day soon!

Kind Regards,
Amanda

Brilliant hotel - very central but tucked away in the back streets so away from the noise. Great restaurant and busy bar too. Rooms are big and the staff friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the wifi didn't work in my room - not sure why. I will definitely be back.

Wow! Wish I was 20 something, not 60 something. This place is hip. It has been 10 years since I was last in Amsterdam and decided to spend 4 days there to visit art galleries, especially the new Riijksmuseum that has been under renovation for 10 years. Don't know what I was more impressed with - the Hotel V or the fabulous reno by Architects Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz from Sevilla of the Rijksmuseum.
Hotel V's location is superb for shopping and eating, and there is no shortage of night-life. The trolley car is right there to get one to Museumplein where 3 of the top Art Galleries are. The rooms are very modern with good bathrooms. The restaurant is excellent. They have a very substantial breakfast, their lunch was good (try the flamkuchen) and we had an exceptional dinner there on our last night. The staff was very helpful with directions, suggestions, reservations and any information that was needed.
All in all a greet experience. Yes, I will be back and this time not wait 10 years!

A jewel of a find. Perfect location just off Dam Square, great ambience, super food, well appointed, spacious room, decor superb. And service second to none. The staff are wonderful - friendly, relaxed, helpful, and nothing too much trouble. Everything was great. Thank you for making my first trip to Amsterdam such a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: 112 has a wound fully positioned mirror ....
