Description: Our bread is made today exactly as it was in the beginning: with only organic stone-ground flour, salt, and water, kneaded and shaped by hand and baked in a hearth under the watchful eye of artisan bakers. We insist on the freshest and finest ingredients. If we can't find them, we make them ourselves. Our shelves are lined with the products we've created: the jams and chocolate spreads on the communal table, the granola in your parfait, the coffee that fills your bowl.

“Excellent place for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Very nice neighbourhood. Lovely organic breakfast with fresh product. Freshly pressed orange juice. Nice terrasse and also big room inside. We had both of our breakfast here as it was so good and the service was excellent too. Will recommend to go there!

“It must be my favourite place for a Sunday brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

Frequently walk in on Sunday's as its my only time to visit. Mostly a local hang out as a tourist you will need some time to get there.
All food is organic and fresh and just really tasty. They have interesting specials over a wide variety of food and tasty pastries.
Service is good, relaxed paced and most staff friendly and helpful. On busy days it might take some time to be served but mostly everything is swift.
I keep coming back there so it must be my favourite place to lunch/brunch on lazy Sundays.

“Best croissant in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

Going to the Pain Quotidien for breakfast is definitely one of the most pleasurable things to do when in Oud -Zuid neighborhood. The atmosphere is great and if you are lucky to have a sunny day, take a seat outside and enjoy people watching while sipping a large caffe latte served in a bowl and dont forget to order a buttered croissant - you´ll pray while eating it, I promise!! Soft and cushionned , baked to perfection, crispy and tasty...I could just eat that and feel happy for the rest of the day !!!

“THE breakfast option around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

We went there everyday for breakfast after going for a run in vondelpark. Good service, good food as it is expected from the chain of restaurants. Prices are as in every other Le Pain. Ambience is great.

“why bother with a hotel breakfast?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

What a find this little bakery was. Just a short walk from the EMB Memphis hotel. Great for breakfast, lunch, coffee or a fresh baguette for a light evening meal.
You feel like a local sitting with friends and sipping a bowl of coffee. All the staff were welcoming and thankfully were able to translate our
'Australian English'. Our only complaint was that we had to leave too early and had to miss out on breakfast. If you are staying at the Memphis, skip the hotel breakfast and skip across the road to this heavenly bakery. Just watch out for the bicycles. Oh and the dangerous Belgian Chocolate Spread!
