“Great location, friendly staff, good bedrooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We stayed 3 nights there recently. the location was excellent, easy to walk to many interesting parts of Amsterdam, they have bikes for hire similar price to Mac's Bikes nearly next door. Good sized bedrooms. Good breakfast though not much fresh fruit and it is not included in room rate. Free good wi-fi.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor and could hear the trams, also people going into the reception area. Not...

This hotel couldn't have been better for the price. Our room (standard twin) was a decent size and looked recently refurbished. The bathroom was modern and very clean with an excellent shower and enough places to put things. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was better than expected. The icing on the cake was the free coffee on tap at all times and it was lovely to sit in the seated area watching the world go by. The location was good with everything easy to get to and a lovely park nearby.

Room Tip: We were pleased that we chose a standard twin/double rather than a small double as it was a reasonab...

this hotel is walking distance from the museum district, great shopping as well as the canal zone. it is on a busy road so it is best to ask for a quiet room at the back, we had 101. the rooms are rather small and uninspiring but functional with comfortable twin beds. the bathroom is also small but with a very good shower. there are trams to many destinations within a 5 minute walk. we parked outside the city and then came to the hotel by tram which couldn't have been easier. there is free coffee and tea throughout the day. breakfast is not included but there are cafe's and shops nearby. helpful reception staff.

Room Tip: on a busy road so ask for quiet rooms at the back.

I consider this is a budget hotel eventho not too cheap. Nice location. Tram stop just across the hotel. Coffeeshop and grocery store nearby. Only about 5 stops to Dam Square and shopping store. Recommended.

This hotel is very good the location is great the staff were good in general the rooms are very nice warm and welcoming the internet was great close to shops and short walk to the night life tram stop is close the only thing about it that breakfast wasn't included and it should have been because it is very expensive

Room Tip: All rooms are similar probably get on on the ground floor as elevator can take forever

Stayed here for 2 nights this week with my adult daughter. We arrived very early from London on Sunday morning last and naturally, our room wasn't ready at that hour. However, they kept our luggage safely stored in a locked room and we went off exploring for the day and didn't check in until about 8pm that night. Different person on the desk but same friendly efficiency. So here are the positives:-

Rooms - twin beds with clean sheets, 2 comfy pillows. Table with 2 comfortable chairs in the room. Tea/coffee making facility. View of another building but I am not staying in a city for 2 nights to admire the view from my room. Room 202 very quiet. Very distant tram noise and no noise from neighbours. Yes, rooms are not huge but we had enough room for us both to move around each other when getting ready in the morning putting on make up, drying hair, using straighteners etc. without getting in each other's way It should be noted that we paid Euro 198 for 2 nights - this is not a suite in the Bellagio, Las Vegas after all!

Bathroom - powerful and easily adjustable shower. Towels clean with 1 bath and 1 hand towel provided each. We didn't have them changed following our showers on Monday morning as we were leaving on Tuesday. Ditto sheets. Do these people change their bed linen and towels at home every day? We were asked by the attendant if we wanted them changed but we said not. Toilet roll was low but asked the attendant whom we met in corridor and she gave us 2 replacements.

Breakfast - didn't have it so cannot comment on that.

Location - perfect only 10 mins from Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh. 5 mins walk to Leidesplein and approx. 10 mins to Dam from there. Less than 5 mins to Vondelpark. We walked miles traversing the city and saw lots.

Checked out at 11am on Tuesday morning but again, they kept our luggage safe all day as our flight wasn't until late. We were able to still use the free coffee machines in reception too!

So, what's not to like? Would definitely recommend and stay here again myself if I made a return trip.

Room Tip: We didn't ask for any particular room but was allocated a room at the back of the hotel which wa...
