Sir Albert was a great find by my clever husband. Out of the main city but only 10 mins on the local tram this hotel and area were delightful. The evenings were busy with both locals and tourists using the great little bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Apparently (according to our great taxi driver) the second best restaurant in Amsterdam was right in our hotel, Japanese food with amazing flair, in a word Fabulous!! Hotel rooms clean and tastefully decorated and we were luck enough to get a balcony, not many rooms had one so make sure you ask. On arrival we were given a glass of prosecco and a lot of information that was very helpful including maps and ideas of where to visit, in fact the receptionist could not have been more helpful and spent a good 10 - 15 minutes with us suggesting places to visit. Buffet breakfast was not cheap but well worth it, and a great start to the day, try the French toast with poached pairs and crime fresh, absolutely delicious. Cannot fault the hotel, bar area, staff or food, all excellent and highly recommended.
