I have stayed in boutique hotels around the world, generally I try to avoid them because they tend to be "all show and no go". I can't say that about the Sir Albert, what makes this hotel unique are the staff, who ever trains these people understands how customers want to be treated. To the manager, look after these good people, they make your hotel fabulous.
The hotel is located in an area of Amsterdam that is away from the hustle and bustle but if that's what you like, it's five minutes walk away or a two minute tram trip.
Our room was well appointed, everything was high end and I don't think I have slept in such luxurious linen at any hotel. The room had a view of the canal, was quiet, had all the items you would of expect of a boutique hotel and was extremely clean. I did however find the room a bit on the small side, but it certainly was not uncomfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and the breakfast was also great. I am told the restaurant is the best in Amsterdam for Asian fusion food and judging by the diners each night I think this may be true.
If you stay at this hotel you won't be disappointed, I certainly will be back and thanks to all the great staff who made our stay so enjoyable. in particular the lady that checked us in and Tim the guy who helped us with out luggage.
