It was our great pleasure to stay at Breitner House for a couple of days and it was more than perfect!
This place has simply no disadvantages. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The food is outstanding. And what makes this place even more special are the hosts: Camilla and Guido. Their hospitality, openness and honest will to make our stay better was priceless.
We would like to make the strongest possible recommendation for Breitner House, it is definitely worth its price!

I have just returned from a truly wonderful two night break at Breitner House, everything you read
in the previous reviews are true, this is how i decided to book my stay at Breitner house.
From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you are treated like close friends. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious with every little detail to make your stay memorable, the breakfast is also a feast for the eyes an amazing experience that has to be seen to be believed.
Guido and Camilla do everything in their power to make your stay memorable and in my case they truly did.I will be back ,i will tell my friends to go and if you are reading this and thinking of staying at Breitner House like the reviewer before me you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Both rooms are beautiful!

Fabulous three nights at Breitner House! Camilla and Guido made us feel welcome and part of the family within moments of our arrival. We were greeted with handshakes, hugs and delicious wine and champagne. Over cocktails in the dining room, we learned the history of Breitner House and got to know our hosts Camilla and Guido. They are two of the most interesting, kind people I have ever met. Not only did they suggest things for us to do, but made the reservations for our dining and drove us around the city several times. They have a talent for making their guests feel like royalty and no detail was spared in making us feel at home. The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable with snacks, wine, champagne, bottled water, sodas, beer, juices, coffee, teas, and chocolates artfully arranged for our use. The breakfast was the most delicious, elegant, artful, abundant meal I have ever had. We have traveled the world and been to some of the most wonderful restaurants, but this breakfast has to be the most wonderful I have ever had. Guido is an amazing chef and Camilla has the perfect touch in her arrangement and service. I know that one of the biggest reasons that I love this city so much has to do with the experience I had at Breitner House. I hope that I will be able to visit Camilla and Guido again, because by the end our stay, they felt like family. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this fabulous B&B. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We slept in both suites. The bottom suite has a beautiful garden and you can watch tv in bed. The to...

Not sure whether to refer to the Breitner House as an hotel? A boutique hotel or an upmarket (very) B & B?
But whatever you choose to call it, expect one of the most unique lodging experiences that certainly we’ve ever experienced (& we do get out a bit – honest).
It is a wonderful combination of the history of the house, previously frequented by artists including George Breitner, a 19th century impressionist painter of some note (& mate of one Vincent van Gogh).
The house itself; beautifully decorated & exquisitely furnished & located overlooking Osterpark & both of the two suites themselves are superb.
But the last key ingredient to this perfect mixture are the owners themselves; Camilla & Guido. Both charming, wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful & Guido is a great & inventive cook & lover of tulips!
The breakfast I’m sure you’ve seen & read about, but it really must be experienced in person. This feast would have had the most decadent Roman emperor seething with jealousy & made his breakfast by comparison look like a couple of Weetabix served with skimmed milk & no sugar. We thought we were on a film set & I was half hoping for some scantily clad beauties to come waltzing in & start feeding me grapes!
We were there with just my wife & I & a couple of our best friends, so we really had the place to ourselves, which was very nice indeed to be able to experience the beauty of both suites & also we could sit in the garden in the evening drinking the fine wine provided.
Guido & Camilla have a great sense of humour & love to engage with their guests & we were treated like long lost friends. We really did nothing but laugh & have fun every time we were in their company.
This is the perfect place for nice people to go & enjoy the most fabulous accommodation with two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. It may seem a little expensive, but it is the best value for money you’ll ever get.

Do yourself a favour, book it now, the memories alone will be worth it, ours certainly are.

Staying at Breitner House in Amsterdam was wonderful and unforgettable. Many thanks to charming Camila and magnificent Gvido for their cordiality and hospitality. Antique atmosphere was everywhere and even during breakfast. A grate surprise was a beautiful garden with a lot of flowers and flowered magnolia where we could have a rest with a cup of coffee and glass of Champagne. If you expect to visit Amsterdam we advise to stay in Breitner House and enjoy
this splendour. Inna & Sergei. Tallinn. Estonia.

Well what can you say that has not already been correctly mentioned before. We (2 couples) arrived at the House to be greeted like long lost friends and made to feel welcome immediately by the delightful hosts Camilla and the living legend that is Guido. The House is an old town house that has been renovated into two apartments, one on the ground floor with a garden and one on the first floor with a stunning bathroom, both can be seen on the rather excellent web site.
Breakfast is an experience in itself a master class in hospitality do not miss it and give yourself plenty of time to savour Guidos creations. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you. Chris & Kim.

A very memorable stay with Camilla and Guido. We felt we had moved back in time to old Amsterdam with the rooms/food/conversation with our hosts. The rooms are spectacular, unlike anything we had experienced before. We will always remember fondly our time with Camilla and Guido during long breakfasts and great conversation.
