I have stayed at the Brownstone twice, and if I ever go back to Amsterdam, I'll stay there again. It is a very modern B&B that feels like an elegant 4-star hotel. The rooms are colorful, cheery, and extremely clean. You can tell a lot of attention has been paid to every detail. There is nothing musty about this place, even though the building has retained the charm of the old Dutch rowhouse it used to be. The owners are the friendliest guys you'd ever want to meet. They carry your bags for you, make an impressive breakfast every morning, and are more than happy to offer suggestions for exploring Amsterdam. Finally, the location is excellent: in the center of town and right down the street from the Anne Frank House and Westerkerk. You simply cannot go wrong with this place.

I liked that it was a B&B and the freedom and privacy. It was very home like. The massive breakfast spread was amazing with juices, jams and breads. It was very clean and awesome. Lot's of hot water. Comfy beds.

The Owners were friendly and made our stay fun.
