The Suite Grand Sahara at Suite 259 was one of the best places we have ever stayed in. It was truly luxurious and the service was excellent.

Place: The suite is beautiful and the place has a warm and homey feeling. We loved the nice touch of having fresh flowers in all the rooms, and the lovely garden balcony.

People: Peter and Azis are the best. They are very warm and they truly welcomed us. We felt like a big, happy family when we were around them.

Food: Fantastic!!! The breakfasts were legendary. Believe me they are simply delicious.

Service: Truly the best -- first class! Peter and Aziz are perfect hosts with a great appreciation for comfort, style and the best that their city has to offer. All of these elements are evident from the minute you arrive at the door to the minute you check out.

Location: Couldn't ask for a better location with the tram located conveniently at the front of Suite 259. Lots of shops, restaurants, markets, and cafes nearby -- and a wonderful park across the street.

Additional comments: Our experience of staying seven days at Suite 259 was truly fantastic. I stayed with my mother, two sisters, and a baby niece. Peter and Aziz went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Every morning we looked forward to Aziz's fabulous breakfast and warm conversations with both Peter and Aziz. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to experience the very best of Amsterdam -- a unique place in a great city. I look forward to staying there again when I return to Holland.

I usually stay at upper end hotels (Ritz, JW, Sofitel, etc.), but decided to try a B&B on my Amsterdam trip. I stayed quite a while; 9 nights. Everything was great. Peter and Aziz are excellent hosts. They'll chat with you and give you information on the city, entertainment, that sort of thing, but in general they are very unobtrusive hosts. You are given your own key to the outside entrance, so coming and going is easy. The location is perfect, unless you want to stay right in the middle of the action, in which case 259 is about five minutes away from that sort of thing. However, Vondelpark is about 100 feet away, and that is a nice place to relax.

Breakfast was great. I stayed in the smaller room and it was extremely comfortable. I will definitely stay again when I return to Amsterdam.

We had a fabulous four night stay in the Safari Suite. We travel alot and have stayed at many 5 star hotels and bed & breakfast places in the world and we would certainly rate Suite 259 in the same category. The amenties in the suite included a bottle of wine to welcome their guests, refrigerator stocked with soda and water, snack bowl filled with cookies and candy, coffee and tea, robe and slippers, computer with wireless internet, 1000 plus DVD's, fresh flowers. . .our hosts, Aziz and Peter, thought of everything! My only suggestion is that if you like to read in bed at night, bring one of those clip-on readingbook lights as the room is so large that the existing lights can make it difficult to read once it gets dark outside. . .otherwise the room has two large windows that allow a lot of natural light in during the day.

The Safari suite is nicely decorated and very clean. The room is definitely larger than most that you will find in Europe. There's a king size bed, sitting area, kitchenette, and a nice jacuzzi in the bathroom. Suite 259 is in a great location. . .short walk to all the museums, good neighborhood dining, supermarket is close by and the tram is only half of a block away which will take you into the center of town - a 10-15 mins. ride.

Aziz prepares an outstanding breakfast - a bowl of fresh cut-up fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, cold cuts and cheese, a variety of bread and spread, pastry, and the best was the surprise hot dish. Peter makes a great capuccino. They take pride in their food presentation.

We look forward to staying here again and will definitely recommend it to all our traveling friends.

we stayed at suite259 in may 2008,everything was perfect from the stocked fridge to the lovely flowers placed in vases around the apartment, i went with my husband and 3 children who all loved the spa bath, snacks and drinks provided, peter and aziz were perfect kind helpful hosts, they changed the duvet when i told them i was allergic to feathers, printed info and directions to where we wanted to go they gave the children gifts of giraffes which my son now takes to bed with him, they also printed a lovely photo of my son and gave it to us in a frame before we left the apartment was spotless and spacious more than enough room for 5 of us, very close to the tram stop which goes to the centre of amsterdam,also resturaunts and cafes are close to the hotel, the breakfast was the best i have had in any hotel loads to eat and drink, and i was prestented with a beautiful birthday cake on my first day there this is the best place we have ever stayed in amsterdam, we will only stay here in the future when we go to amsterdam thank you peter and aziz for a wonderful stay
