As a base for a stag party/hen night etc., this hotel is perfect, you can get group rooms for very cheap prices, and it's right on the edge of the red light district. The bar is open 24/7, although the pool table is a bit knackered & the brekkie is a bit rough! The rooms are clean & the staff are friendly, & lets face it, after a few joints & fair few Amstel's, no-one really cared that the cold tap on the shower didn't work!

Basic, but clean and reasonably secure. The showers work, and they do a reasonable approximation to a full English breakfast (but no black pudding). For less than 20 euros you get a bunk bed in the centre of town (with a canal view if you're lucky). It's at the quieter end of the RLD, a stone's throw from Central Station - what more do you need?
You don't go to the Dam to watch telly or enjoy the use of a sumptious en-suite bathroom do you?Punters are mixed European and North American, with English folk the biggest single group.the downstairs bar is busy and friendly, as are the staff.
