“Fantastic place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2010

I stayed at hotel weber for two nights with my girlfriend at the end of March from a Saturday to a Monday. We found the hotel perfect, the rooms were stlyish and comfortable, the location was central to all of the bars, resturants, attractions and shopping and the breakfast provided was a great touch. We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and had a small balcony with chairs which was nice to sit out. Although the hotel is situated beside two bars, we heard barely any noise (mainly locals and not as loud as tourist bars). The bed was really comfy and in the morning we had fresh bread, hams, orange juice, cereal, youghurts and milk provided. The room was really clean and the lights were a nice touch, the tv was also good with loads of different channels from sky. If you take a right out of the hotel entrance and folow the bridge over the canal there are some smaller quiet romantic resturants (mainly locals). To the left is the busier leidsplein, with lots to do - only a two min walk away. Overall we had a great a stay and will definetly stay here next time we return.

Just stayed there for four nights with my wife. We were on the top floor. I believe it was 70 steps. I thought the stairs would each be higher, but they were quite comfortable for climbing. We're in decent shape so it was no problem.

The rooms was clean, quiet and spacious. Fantastic Espresso machine, a good safe and a fridge stocked with food made this a perfect hideaway after a long day of Amsterdamming.

We were attending three days of shows at the Melkweg. I knew it was close and when I asked Willem about it after he carried our luggage up the stairs, he opened the curtains and pointed down at its roof right behind us! Perfect location for all of Amsterdam and especially for the Melkweg.

The whole bread and food service idea is excellent and served us very well. We even made sandwiches for later from the surplus supplies.

Very comfortable bed and a good shower. Lighting is quite nice as well with dimmers for table and ceiling lights.

In summary...... for us on this trip there could not be a better place to stay.

Stayed at the Weber for 3 nights and now would not stay anywhere else. The location is perfect, right in the centre, everything on your doorstep. The room was on the top floor so bit of a climb on very steep stairs with suitcase but the lovely staff helped me carry it back down. Room was spotless and very spacious for Amsterdam, really lovely and the fresh bread delivered to the room every morning was a lovely touch, fridge stocked with cheese, meat etc, superb! If you like coffee, you'll love the coffee machine in your room too. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing a problem. Great bar in the hotel too!!

I stay in Amsterdam multiple times a year and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. I loved having refrigerated breakfast foods (juice, milk, meat, cheese) delivered the day before and then waking up to a bread basket every morning. There's free wireless, very comfortable beds, really cool decor (very big, high-ceilings, hard wood floors), and one of the hippest bars in town right downstairs. It's a bit loud at night so I'd recommend asking for a rear room. The staff is also very accommodating to early arrivals.

We stayed in the hotel Weber with my husband for 5 nights. My husband actually did a hard work looking for the hotel over the internet and found on tripadviser this B&B.
We weren't disapointed at all. We had a wonderful time there. The room was clean, charming. The stuf there is very friendly.
The good things that I found there take an advantage over the bad ones.
I loved very much the small kitchen, that was there. We didn't take with us any kitchen equipment, so the plates and other stuff that was already there was very helpfull.
There was a tele with satelite. Lovely coffee machine. Wireless internet access.
There is a bar, and the music is very loud. But the hotel provides very good ear plugs. They work so good, that nothing was heard. So, there should be no worry about the bar noice.

Maybe one, not major, negative sentence. About the breakfast. The breakfast is served as follows: the yougurt is added to the room's fridge at dinner time, and the bread is put near the room door at morning.
It was very nice breakfast. But I have something to say about it:
The wicker with bread was always taken on the room cleaning. No matter what left there, or event it's full and unpacked. There were some days that we needed to go early morning, so we couldn't eat our breakfast then and wanted to eat it when we back at evening. But it wasn't the case. The bread was always taken on the room cleaning.

...One more thing. There are very steep stairs.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were very glad to have chosen Hotel Weber. The location is great, just off Leidse square so there were a lot of restaurants and museums nearby and we were about a 20 min walk to the Dam area. We really had fun in Amsterdam which is a great cosmopolitan city and the people at the Weber Hotel treated us very well, and they were very accomodating. I had asked for a room in the lower part of the hotel because of the narrow steep stairs and a room at the back because of potential noise from the street and the club below. They gave us what we asked for though there was still a bit of noise on a Saturday night. We slept well nevertheless and a plus was the breakfast which was in the fridge with bread delivered to our door each morning. The room was good sized with a flat screen TV, a moderate sized bathroom with a shower, and the queen bed was comfortable. A good experience for us. thank you!

When we arrived outside the Hotel it looked quite shabby and run down I was quite hesitant about what we would find inside. I was pleasantly surprised as it was quite modern and clean, the bed was comfy and large and we didnt have any noise from outside at all. The only downside are the stairs which are very very steep and there are lots of them but apart from that we would recommend this hotel.
