We stayed here for a long weekend and had exchanged emails with the staff who provided details of transport and a map etc to the hotel. Despite arriving very early (10am in the morning), our room was ready and we probably had the best room in the hotel; room Number 1 on the first floor overlooking the canal. Whilst this meant it was a little noisy on the Friday night with people leaving pubs etc, the view was lovely and it also meant that there weren't too many stairs to walk up. The room was clean, warm, well presented and bigger than we expected with a bath/shower, king size bed, two chairs, a large plasma screen tv, tea/coffee, biscuits, corkscrew and fridge (not stocked). The staff were helpful and the guy on reception helped us to our room and carried our bags. As well as all of this, one of the best things was the location. It was right around the corner from the Anne Frank House and close by to some fantastic restaurants (we'd certainly recommend Envy and Christophe - not cheap but very good food and wine). The only down-side was the fact that the 'consumables' in our room were not topped-up (ie coffee, bath gel, toilet roll) and despite the fridge, there was no milk to have with the tea and coffee (although I'm sure if we asked, they would have provided some).
