I stayed here in Sept 2013, and it was a really lovely place. The location absolutely cannot be beat. It is a terrifically charming building right on a beautiful canal near restaurants and within walking distance of nearly everything you'd want to see. I had a canal view room which was very comfortable. The mattress was a little firm for me, but probably fine for most people. Bathroom was fine. The continental breakfast served downstairs was also very nice. If you prefer a small, privately run hotel or B&B, this place is for you. I'd say it's not luxurious but perhaps "slightly shabby chic" which is made up for by the best location in town - a stone's throw from the Westerkerk and Anne Frank House.
