Find the 'nine streets' in the new side of the city. Boutique shops, lovely cafes and such friendly people.

This is a lovely area of Amsterdam to walk in the spring sunshine. Really interesting selection of bars, cafés & restaurants in the area. Sat outside a cafe in the sunshine people watching.

“A Wonderful Amsterdam Canal Walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

The Keizersgracht is one of the canal ring canals in between the Herengracht and Prinsengracht. It's a great, long walk around Amsterdam from the north west to the east, filled with lovely bridges and stunning canal houses. You'll walk through the Jordaan, pass north of Leidseplein and south of the flower market, cruise by the Golden Bend and end up at the Amstel, where you can go south and cross at Magere Bruge or go north and cross at the Blauwbrug. If you wander back to Nieuwe Keizersgracht and follow it a little further you'll up near Plantage and the Artis Zoo.

“Lovely area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Keizersgracht is a great place to stay and to wander around. It is within walking distance of many of the main sights but has the advantage of being quiet. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.
