“Brand new but far from the city”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

I stayed here with a couple of friends as we were interrailling across Europe. In terms of conditions this was the best place we slept during the trip. It's a budget hotel but with very good facilities! The major down side is the location. Far away from the old city, you always have to take some kind of transport from and to the hostel to do whatever you want.

Room Tip: Ask to stay away from the train line. It's not that noisy but still...

I recently spent two nights here, the first two that the hotel was open. The hotel's staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The bar was excellent, with each table having its own "jenga" game. The transport links from the hotel were first rate and the breakfast was brilliant. It was however the staff that made the stay so pleasant - they could not have been more helpful.

We booked a three bedroom room in this hotel on a hotel booking website. It was very much marketed as a hotel but the reality is that it is much more of a hostel with some nicer rooms. We chose it as the price was decent and it was brand new. The hotel is not in the city centre but a very short train journey or two tram journeys from the centre in an area that's mostly made up of offices. It is immediately next to the train station and is on the main line from the airport to the city centre which is quite handy. As far as we could see there are no restaurants or cafe's apart from the food stalls in the train station. Our three bed room was very small indeed and only two of the beds were made up when we checked in. The third bed was a sofa for which I had to locate the sheets and make up myself. Although small the room was clean and the shower was very good indeed. The aircon in our room didn't work terribly well and it was a bit too hot to sleep on the first night. There was wifi but only in the downstairs public areas and not in the rooms. Although it was really a more of a hostel, it was quiet at night. I would say that this is a decent budget option and while it's clean and new its location isn't brilliant especially if you are planning a lot of late nights and will be travelling back after the last train/ tram.

We booked this hotel because it's newly opened and we had good price for early booking. However, it is just an upgraded hostel with fancy re-packaging.
Nevertheless, it also offer you something that normal hotels do not have. Such as guest kitchen where you can cook your own meals.
The housekeeping service was not up to general hotel standard. We found the housekeeper only clean the garbage bin but didn't clean our bathroom second night.
To summary, if you are a backpacker, this is a fancy, nice and trendy hostel for you. But if you are thinking about a hotel, and pay a comparable price for that, you may feel upset with what you get!

This is a very new hotel. We had a very big room with a big bathroom. Wifi is only available on the ground floor and it was very slow. The staff were friendly. All you can eat breakfast for just 7.50 euros is very good value. It is located very near to the train station but there isn't much else around the hotel, mainly offices. However there is a nice place for pasta and coffee called Julia's at the station. It is sort 'fast food' but taste better to many restaurants.

I stayed 3 nights on the opening day of the hotel, The rooms were clean and spacious for a family.

The staff was very good and co-operative, they changed my room as there was problem in the locker but was okay.

The location is 7 minutes by train to center and there are many trains all time, it is less 5 minutes from hotel to train station.

The problem was that no wireless coverage yet in the hotel but they give some computers to use for internet access.

It is overall very convenient compared with rate especially without need to breakfast

Room Tip: I used two rooms and both were fine, they have also provided towels even was mentioned before to ren...

I have just returned from Amsterdam having spent 3 nights in this brand new hotel. The hotel opened on the day we arrived and I was dubious as I thought a new hotel may have teething problems. I couldn't have been more wrong! The hotel staff were well organised and super helpful, the hotel was so well designed and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and every little detail had been thought of. The location was fantastic just a hop skip and a jump from Amsterdam Centraal on the train (it took us 5 minutes each morning to get into the city). The price was fantastic and it is great for backpackers, groups, familys and friends. I will be searching out this company in every city I go to!!

Room Tip: Rooms with a seperate toilet and shower tend to be bigger than those with just the one en suite styl...
