If you are willing to wait on an endless line to visit the Anne Frank House (well worth the wait) than you MUST visit the Verzetsmuseum. This collection is a treasure trove of history recounting the valient resistance efforts of the Dutch people during WWII in their all out effort to save the Jewish, and ultimately, Dutch population from the ravages of the Nazi invaders.
The exhibits grab your attention as they step out of history and engage you to learn and think...and ultimately haunt your soul. Yet they are presented in a sophisticated, artistic and media oriented manner. This is one of the world's finest history related museums I have visited, and no trip to Amsterdam is complete without a visit here.
