“Well coupled with Anne Frank House.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

I really enjoyed the Resistance Museum. It was good to have an insight into the experiences of the Dutch people during the occupation and was a good place to visit after Anne Franks house as it was more general. It gives a good timeline of events and is easy to navigate.
It does however seem like it could benefit from a bit of extra funding as it is a lot of written text and not much else, so I could have read the information from home. Also some exhibits only had information in Dutch.
Still very enjoyable and worth spending a couple of hours there.

“Interesting and good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

A really nice museum, we found it very interesting and thought it was good value for money. We got a headset as part of the entry which is a nice touch and offers additional information to the displays. Only downside was the lack of baby changing facilities as we had a 7 month old baby with us but this was not unusual in Amsterdam.

“Interesting Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

This museum tells us what Holland had to endure during the war..One learns much as you walk through the exhibits. We were not given a listening device. I think we missed a lot by not having one. Do get one..

“Brilliant Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

We visited the Verzetsmuseum the day after visiting Anne Frank's House, so were already feeling a little emotional. This museum gave informative and comprehensive accounts of the lives of Dutch people under Nazi occupation; their resilience and suffering. Much of the content was extremely moving and tragic, especially that concerning the Jewish community including children. We spent several hours here, but wished we could have spent longer - it certainly warrants the largest part of a day. Highly recommended, everyone should visit as a tribute to these courageous people.
