A great way to spend three hours before taking the train back to the airport and home to London. Situated about 400 metres from the front of Amsterdam Central Station
An afternoon sunshine spot sitting at the top of the steps in front of the entrance to the large old stock exchange building. It overlooks a square to the side of a busling road, so plenty to look at.
Service was attentive, friendly but not intrusive by our waiter - The ice cold beer was ideal for the warm sunny day we were enjoying
We also ordered lunch - burger in a bun, fries and salad. ( Beursburger)
The burger was the best I've ever eaten. Delicious, very beefy, perfectly cooked and about an inch (25mm) thick , and layered with bacon and cheese. The juices ran out as you ate it and the bun was more like a crusty roll , much better than a bap or bun. You've got to try one of these!!!!
Price not the cheapest burger at 14.95 euros but well worth it. I would eat more burgers if they were always like this.
One of the highlights of our weekend stay.
