“Great cheese and super friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014 via mobile

Sampled lots of cheeses with help of the friendly staff. Had a picnic and a most enjoyable time with great cheese and bread from the grocery.

“Looking for Durch cheese in Amsterdam? - here is your shop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

If you enter one of the many Henri Willig shops in Amsterdam, you will not only find a wide selection of different sorts of cheese, but also a friendly, well-informed staff. You like to take your cheese to the U.S? Someone will tell you, which one is allowed.
Also you have the chance to taste all sorts of cheese (also goat cheese, sheep cheese or a combination), flavored (e.g. with pesto or herbs) or unflavored. Combine it with the also offered chutneys and mustards.
One advice: look for the ingredients. Often they add preservatives (is it necessary for export? I don´t know) They have a little selection of organic cheese, it could be more. Ask for "Hooidammer", this is the organic product line.
Amsterdam is filled with tourists all the time, so all shops in downtown would like to sell to tourists. Prices may be a little higher, but the quality is o.k.
I would recommend to buy at Henri Willig, its not only a shop, its an event for your taste.

“Cheeeeeeeeese!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

Wow. I have never come across so much cheese. I was in my own little dream world, surrounded by all these wonderful flavours . An extremely helpful gentleman took us around the shop, we sampled all sorts of different types of cheeses with help on choosing the right complimenting mustards to go with them. Bought a nice supply for a picnic and to bring home. What excited me even more is they have a website and will deliver to the uk. Happy days for cheese lovers like me :)

“Cheese & More Cheese”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Well stocked shop obviously aimed at the tourist trade with young ladies dressed in " Dutch " milkmaid costumes !
Good selection of cheese from Edam to Smoked !
Fairly good prices but there are better cheese purveyors in Amsterdam !
