Location was perfect. Good breakfast. Hostel was not that clean, though. I made the mistake to stay in a 12 bed room. We had people walking in and out all night long. I just think it was too expensive for what that was. Not a good vibe really.

You get what u pay for, rooms were clean enough, breakfast was included with my deal I would not pay for the breakfast as it was so limited. Everyone seemed nice and helpful will

The Hostel smelt awful. The receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpful. The rooms are tiny. The stairs leading up to the hostel are dangerpus. There are permanent road works outside and the atmosphere is dire. We didnt even stay it was that bad. Seriously needs decorating. A mens only hostel. waste of my deposit. Livid to say the least.

I have stayed at the heart of amsterdam hotel for the last 2 years and think this is a awesom hotel. For anyone who is going to amsterdam for the coffee shops this is the hotel for you. Its situated perfectly with a coffee shop just across the canal and loads more near by. Its clean and has friendly staff. The hotel has movie themed rooms (we stayed in pulp fiction and highlander), basically just a picture on the wall but quite cool when experimenting, lol. Would definately come back here!!
