This is the second year I have spent a week at the Maes B&B in Amsterdam and I love it so much I plan to be back there next year and the year after, etc. The hosts Ken and Vlad are excellent at what they do. They care for their guests and have a wonderful staff as well to make this cozy home away from home a truly fine place to stay. It is centrally located, within walking distance of Central Station so easy to get to and from Schipol Airport. The neighborhood is trendy with lots of interesting shops and cafes and more than enough restaurants to choose from. Also it is within easy reach for canal cruises and tour companies for alternative destinations and activities while in Amsterdam. Accomodations are clean and comfortable with some having access to patios and outside terraces as well. This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants good value and good accomodations in one of the best neighborhoods in Amsterdam!

We can not say enough great things about our stay at Maes B & B. Everything was amazing. Our room was clean, bright and cozy. The bath was pampering and soothing after walking in Amsterdam. The breakfast felt like grandmothers Sunday spread. Each morning we woke to the smell of freshly made pancakes. The staff, especially Jim, were always helpful and attentive to our needs. The hosts Vlad and Ken are very warm and outgoing. We instantly felt welcomed. We have traveled for the past 20 years and have always stayed in B & Bs. Maes is one our favorites! We can't wait to return to Amsterdam.

This was a return trip to Amsterdam for me. I stayed at the Maes B&B last year and was thrilled to find that Ken and Vlad were able to accommodate me again this year.

As before, we found everything top notch! This year we stayed on the third floor "suite" which could not have been nicer. The rooms were perfectly clean, and the breakfasts wonderful.

Vlad and Ken were perfect hosts, and even supplied us with duct tape to repair a broken zipper on one of our suitcases before travel.

An additional bounus is the free Internet. It was wonderful to be able to access our email each day, and drop a line to family at home.

I highly recommend the Maes B&B and will certaily stay there on my next trip to Amsterdam.

I've never stayed at a b & b before. My idea of traveling and accomodations is staying at the Marriott or a Sheraton hotel. I was surprised and delighted to find Vlad and Ken at Maes B & B. Both of them are just so sweet guys and are very hospitable. This was my first visit to Amsterdam, NL which I enjoyed immensely but it's not my last and I will definately stay with Ken and Vlad again. They are in a nice location and near central station as well as many other sights. Once again, Vlad and Ken, hugs and kisses.....and thanks for a memorable stay.
