This hotel has been awful i tried to book a stay with them and they required a credit card although i used a debit card. So i said i wanted to cancel this reservation. All fine untill after the duration of what my reservation would have been although i was told it was canceled.

I have been charged twice for this and still awaiting to hear from them to get my refund. For this, they basicaly stole £750 from me! Be very careful using web forms for reserving hotel reservations!

Hotel Arena is a great place to stay in Amsterdam.
The rooms are just beautiful, the ambience great and very lively, the staff very helpful.
We loved also the convenience of having a great restaurant, bar, and club all in one place - and very busy too!
A small inconvenience is the distance from the centre - not walking- but again the hotel is very well served by public transport.
I highly recommend Hotel Arena and would definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel. It is interesting how they decorated everything but unfortunately we did not feel cosy and relaxed in the hotel or our room. Everything in the room is white(ish) and the bathroom cabine closed up by black glass did not improve it much. For one or two nights it would have been fine. We did not try the breakfast as we felt it was too expensive for 18 Euro per person.

The room was beautifully designed with a mezzanine and spiral staircase. But the floors were filthy with dust in almost every corner. The stairs inside the room were also filty and dusty and needed a good sweeping and mopping. There was only one cup and one glass and when we requested another (as ther were two of us booked into the room) we were told there would be a charge if i had them delivered to our room. I had to go and collect the glass and cup (which should have standardly been in the DOUBLE room) to avoid the charge. If the rooms were cleaned properly this could be a very very comfortable and stylish hotel but whoever is incharge of hygiene in this establishment needs firing! I spent the two nights i was there walking around with my trainers on for fear of coming into contact with the dirty floor, which was not swept for the whole time we were there but yet room service had been in to 'clean' the room. The rug was full of stains and the settee was equally stained to the point i actually felt uncomfortable sitting on it! Was glad to check out!

Room Tip: Try another hotel!

Stayed here Mid June this year, booked last minute to get the best price and we were definitely spoilt. Room was £150 per night, No Breakfast, but that didn't bother us, we were happy to catch the Metro (2 mins walk from hotel) and grab a bite elsewhere.

Our room had the black shower room (a bath would have been nice, but we're not greedy...) and bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor (very stylish) The Bed was enormous. I haven't slept so well in a long time! The hotel itself is stunning, outside and inside. We didn't chance to sample food or drink, but intend to go back to do just so!

Friendly staff, all speak fantastic English (puts us to shame as know no Dutch)

The hotel lcoation is out of the way from the city centre but right next to a park (vondelpark i think) and a metro link, a day pass on the metro is definitely worth more than repeatedly buying tickets, save your legs!

A really luxurious, friendly place. What more can you ask for? (maybe a bath and breakfast.... but on our budget, we coped without!) Really can't complain! Thanks Arena! Mel and Sam xx

Had a 3 day conference. The conference room was a bit of a let down, found the room a bit scruffy. However, we were well looked after, there was always ample supply of refreshments and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable. A bit to modern for my liking. Did not like the fact that the person using the bathroom has very little privacy.
My bedroom window was overlooking the outside patio-terrace, near the entrance which can be noisy. As I stayed during the week it was ok. Once in a while some noise, it did not bother me...but during the weekend the hotel opens its doors of its club......
If you are a light sleeper request another room.

Breakfast was good. Good variety and the pastries and coffee was very enjoyable!

Reception staff very friendly and well informed!
