I have to say this is the best place to stay in Amsterdam. Brendan you are the best!!!! Anything we needed he was there for us no questions asked. There were four men staying in the chillout apartment and there was plenty of room. The apartment itself is right in the middle of everything, very clean and welcoming. The kitchen has plenty of room to cook in with everything you need to cook provided. The best vacation spot in europe. All of the people in my party are planning to return in the next year and the chillout apartment is the only place any of us would consider. I have stayed in other places in Amsterdam and not once have I been this satified. The bedrooms were all huge with tv's and vcr's in each they must of had 500 movies to select from. I know i must sound like a commercial but the pctures do not do the apartment justice.

Second time in Amsterdam !
Second time with Amsterdamescape !
We have already planned the third time !
Probably the better place for a stay in Amsterdam !
All is perfect, with a special mention for the staff !
We enjoy to come back as soon as possible !

I had the pleasure of staying in the apartment 'cosy' for two nights. The treatment from Brendan and the rest of the team was first class right from my initial booking enquiry. The apartment was clean and as advertised on their web site - youthful, bright, and equipped with lots of goodies. I look forward to my next stay with escape.

We stayed here for about three hours before I absolutely had to leave. It certianly didn't help that we were there during the hottest temperatures of the entire year and there was absolutely NO A/C. The bed was in a loft, in the attic. It was like trying to sleep in an oven. My boyfriend (who was in a touring rock band in the states and therefore can pretty much handle anything accomodations wise) and I endured as much as we possibly could before calling Expedia to rebook us somewhere with A/C asap.

The apartment that we were in was NOTHING like the pictures on the hotel's web page. It was definetly meant for college backpackers looking for a huge party, and less for couples.

I'm sure that if it hadn't been as hot, and if we were about five years younger or with a group of friends, it probably would've been fine. The owner of the property was a very very nice guy, very knowledgable about the Amsterdam party scene and willing to help in any way possible.

I would like to address the following issues raised in this review

Firstly the apartment did have air conditioning in the form of a small portable unit which was situated on the mezzanine area where the bed is

This guest booked the accommodation through Expedia and the photos are not specifc to each apartment but are a cross section of our apartments which are all very different.

The guest left three hours after checking in without contacting us and perhaps if she had done we may have been able to help her as our office is 2 mins walk from the apartment

Top place to stay in amsterdam. Really nice apartments, all self catering, i've stayed in about 10 different ones over the last year or so, all owned by Amsterdam Escape, they are all nicely decorated, well cleaned and have great facilities. One apartment has this great old werlitezer jukebox, all have loads of DVDs, PS2, their biggest apartment Chill Out is fantastic, the lounge is bigger than most of the bars in amsterdam! The owners are really friendly and helpful. All the apartments are in NieweMarkt, which if you dont know amsterdam, is a great central location just outside the red light district.

Its so much better to have an apartment in amsterdam rather than a hotel room. so you have somewhere with a sofa where you can chill, watch dvd etc,
