Recently stayed for a few nights.
Reception friendly and efficient albeit a bit slow. Room clean and spacious, strange design where the en suite door appears like the rest of the wall, but once opened no problem because it never closed fully again. Very heavy to move as well. Room service efficient and room kept clean, but it was pot luck if they were going to leave any water, 2 small bottles when we arrived, one smaller bottle replacement on one night only.
Breakfast, total chaos.
Day 1 was not given a menu, so I was not aware that there was a hot breakfast as well as the buffet until half way through I saw a table being served poached eggs. Had our fruit, went to the buffet , about 4 strides away, only to turn round to our table to note it was cleared and the waitress had everything on her tray, even though there was a guide book and my mobile on the table and my wifes' handbag by her chair. I had not even started my cup of tea. The waitress said she would relay with fresh, she never did, I assume she had a very short memory because she started serving other people. I asked her and 2 other waiters when they were going to reset the table, but no one really cared and it took an absolute age.
Day 2 slightly better, tea and coffee were very slow coming and not offered any juice this morning, so had to ask twice for it.
Day 3 back to chaos, 10 minute wait before anyone even approached our table.
Good parts are the Brasserie, food very good and service really very efficient. The Tunes dining room only offers a full 3/4 course set meal with a few choices, some incredibly expensive. We did not use it so cannot comment on it, but like us there must be other guests who would use the dining room, but do not want a full 4 course meal.
One fault I found with the Brasserie is the seating. At some of the tables the chairs are very low, so you have the table half way up your chest. We had to ask for cushions to sit on.
Finally the killer blow that would put many hotels in a 1 star bracket if they were lucky. After breakfast on our 3rd day I got out the lift on our bedroom floor, to be met by a mouse coming the other way. Not sure which room he was staying in. I told 2 young ladies who were doing room service along from our bedroom, but no concern was expressed and they just said they would let maintenance know. Later on I told reception, who said the same. Must have been mainenances' day off. I never saw or heard anyone, the lift being very near our room, and no one came and asked exactly where the mouse was. Must have gone back to a room. nice surprise for someone in the middle of the night.

Thank you very much for the detailed description of your stay at our hotel. We sincerely regret that you have not been able to experience the unparalleled service we strive for to provide. Please be assured that we take your comments very serious and will do our utmost to improve in these areas.
To ensure that our guest experience remains at the high level we expect, we are undertaking additional training exercises with our breakfast waiters, focussing especially on the points you have mentioned.
I cannot stress enough how sorry I am for the very unfortunate inconvenience you have experienced in the corridor. We are working closely together with the most professional company that specializes in keeping these unwanted visitors out of the hotel, in particular in Amsterdam where this is an unfortunate occurrence.
Once again our sincere apology for the poor level of service you have experienced. We hope that we will be able to welcome you back in order to prove that these points have been amended and for what will hopefully be a true 5-star stay.
