My client put me here to help with design ideas for his house I'm doing the ID on. What a great hotel for this. Well thought out and some trick ideas. Wonderful staff eager to please and assist with any request. I'd have to say one of the best design hotels in Amsterdam

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful hotel in April. Very nice location, literaly next door to the Museums (Van Gogh, Rijk and modern art), nice shopping street very close, opera, restaurants within walking distance.
We had the most basic room, which was not huge but very well decorated, very modern but warm. A very good design. Full of electronic candies. Everything worked perfectly.
Service is excellent as expected.
Spa and swimming pool offering a very relaxing time after a long day walking through the city and museums (swimming pool, jacuzzi, hamam and sauna)
Very nice brasserie and bar (did not try the restaurant)
Overall a very good feeling in this hotel. Chic and relatively young.
To be noticed, it is not so close to the city center but you can take the tram which is very convenient or walk there (you're in the canals area in 10 minutes). At least, you will avoid some of the crowd of the red light district, which is, in the end, an advantage.

A 3 night spa package at the Conservatorium is a wonderful experience. The hotel is a former music school - magnificently refurbished and the service second to none. Staff all refer to you by name, the atmosphere is personal, warm and very efficient. The rooms are very large with enormous bathrooms containing a large bath, huge shower area in which one warm is heated (luxury) and a totally separate toilet. The room has surround sound and all the hi tech equipment needed to hook your personal gear through the TV.

The gym, spa area and pool are fabulous. Unlimited entry to all was included in the package as was breakfast which is a gourmet feast with plenty of choice both hot and cold.

The hotel is well situated in the Museumquarter - 5 minutes to the museums, 5 minutes from Amersterdam's beautiful gardens and a 10 minute walk into the heart of Amsterdam. Just loved it.

Starting with the design elements, it is a beautifully done hotel. The rooms are comfortable and stylish. The lobby is magnificent. If you don even stay here you can still stop by and enjoy the ambiance.
The staff was very friendly and we were upgraded to a superior room upon arrival which was very nice of them. The concierge , mainly Isabella who helped us the most in laying out the things and the places we should take the time to visit were all very professional and friendly. Everyone greeted you with a big smile from the moment you walk in to the hotel. The spa is very very nice. You can enjoy it even if you don't get any treatment. The fitness center is very "fresh."
Over all it added to our Amsterdam experience with the the location being in the better part of the city. You will love it, just when you walk to the reception desk to check in, wear your biggest smile

In a city not known for service, the Conservatorium is an exception to the rule. Set in an old building but beautifully restored with a deep and careful sense of design. The amenities were perfect -- pool, brasserie -- were both beautiful and fun. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are luxurious and spacious.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights having stayed at Andas Hotel the night before. The lobby is nice and pleasantness stops there. For the most expensive hotel in Amaterdam, the service is appalling. We waiters were slow and forget what you ordered. The food was mediocre and expensive. We have to wait for a long time to be seated to a table. There was no priority to hotel residence such that they cannot get us a table to dine in the restaurant. The sitting area in the lobby is overcrowded. The bellboy took a long time to pick up the luggage. When I complained to the manager, she could only acknowledge th problem and couldn't offer solution.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel please!

Stayed her for 2 nights for the Europa Cup Final. The cost was €1025 for 2 nights!
Great building with fantastic architecture but let down by poor service in the foyer level restaurant. Service was slow due to insufficient staff who at best were incompetent and failed to get orders correct and delivered in a timely way.
I guess we paid top price due to the Europa Final but I would never recommend this hotel due to poor restaurant staff.
The door staff were excellent.
